Do not care! Just bought the Dracodile. Waited too long for a Blindwater Garg. Most happy.

Free shipping helps with international orders. You'll still pay customs fees and duties, but shipping would count towards those too. Still, a pass for me.

Bet a few people will be miffed they can't get the Dracodile through normal channels. Yup. I'd include me in that, can't commit to a preorder now, even with free shipping customs will make it to much. They need a UK/EU outlet too...

Some factions make a lot more use of their huge base models compared to others. Trolls for example. Many lists have a Mountain/Sea/Glacier King and I think the Hooch Hauler will be a important part of any Northkin theme. Wraith Engines in many Cryx lists. TEP in CoC
With one of the major distributors to the UK choosing to stop carrying PP products (for various reasons) this is just another barrier to play for UK/EU countries.
I am worries that PP are "sort of trying" to emulate GW with a separate related company producing their large models. They started off as optional models that you could buy as a center piece and now from what i see feature in many many armies with those who can afford it winning due to owing the more powerful models. PP are not in that situation yet. But it feels like they are heading in that direction. If they do this will be a misstep for the company IMO.
That said, if the quality of the models go up, I will be happy. But IMO the best models that PP do are their large and huge based models. Its some of the smaller , normal models that are sometimes lackluster
Its not a "sky is falling" comment. But it is a "hmmmmm...." moment.

There are a lot of good things to emulate about GW. GW has been a successful business for a reason.

Yeah they were the only real game in town with a decent ruleset and decent sculpts for a really long time which built up fan inertia. The more they try to business the more they lose people to games like warmahordes/infinity/etc

Great, so they will be 20% more expensive in EU after customs fees...

Yeah, not a big fan of this development. Seems like it will cost more and take longer to get for most people outside the US.
Also not a big fan of potentially core models for a faction being done as semi-limited releases. If they wanted to set up BAHI to do cool busts and other additional stuff then it would be whatever. But that's not what we are seeing here.

It's laughable that people are equating this move to GWs Forge World.
For one, all of these models will be play tested in CID.
Also, yea it sucks paying the import tax on these things, but I wouldn't be surprised if PP is already thinking about a way to mitigate it.

Yeah, let's see how it turns out, before criticising. Maybe there won't be any real difference in price after all.

Yeah, let's see how it turns out, before criticising. Maybe there won't be any real difference in price after all. Maybe for Americans. I'm not really seeinng how this is supposed to work out for the rest of the world. And I'm certainly not looking forward to dealing with customs just to get some plastic soldiers.
