You're gonna need one more ancestral guardion for the exalted theme. 3 max units of immortals with advocates is 57pts, so you need to buy one guardian to get all 3 freebies, which will be 2 more guardians and hakaar.

I missed the Guardians number fixes that on my list on puter.
Sop far thinking Zaadesh in Warhost and maybe Masters Herxis 2 in Masters
and Zaal2 in Exalted.
Also Morghoul 3 in Warhost and masters

Sort of yes, sort of no? Specifically: Two Ancestral Guardians will cover three units of Immortals movement needs. Recall that the free models do not have to be Exalted models- you could pay for one of the AGs to take you past 60 and then help yourself to a Soulward or Marketh. Also take this list I just designed: Exalted Theme Zaal2 -29 Aradus Sentinel 16 Aradus Sentinel 16 Basilisk Krea 7 Haakar the Destroyer 7 Max Immortals w/ Extoller Advocate 19 Max Immortals w/ Extoller Advocate 19 Max Immortals 15 Min Beast Handlers 5 Ancestral Guardian - 0 Ancestral Guardian - 0 Ancestral Guardian - 0 By taking the 3 AG's as the free models and paying full price for Haakar, the cost of Exalted models and units in the list is precisely 60, ultimately saving points and allowing the inclusion of the Krea to keep Zaal alive while he directs an arcing fire, poisonous Mage Sight artillery barrage.

But now you are missing an advocate for one of your units. While you certainly don't have to take guardians as your free models, if you are going all out with 3 max immortal units, there is no reason not to pay for 3 advocates and guardian and thus get 2 more guardians and Hansard for free. If you were only using 2 units of immortals (which is absolutely do able) then thats a different story, but by going with 3 you commit to thatbplat style and will probably be served best by fully supporting them.

Sure there is, it allows for that 39-point battlegroup. Also, precisely 60 points, there. Also, I can say with firm confidence that the 2 Max+UA/1 Max Immortal conformation does work very well with Zaal2. You'll want to move the UA-less one slightly closer to the enemy by just a few inches so that they receive preferential ranged attention in the early game.

x.x even current skorne players are still fiddling with Exhalted to try and figure out the best list. The issue is that immortals only have PS 13 and are dangerously over priced for their production. Do you really want to stack more immortals or take some more of our nasty beasts?
As far as the basic "must haves" for skorne army builders-
Cyclops Shaman Molik Karn 2x beast handlers Agonizer Basilisk Krea Titan Gladiator Praetorian Karax at least 1 Archidon
As for other popular takes
Soul Ward Titan Sentry Aradus sentinal/soldier (you can make them practically immune to range) Tyrant Commander and Standard bearer Seige Anamantrix (don't let the card fool you, it can do melee and ranged attacks in the same turn WHILE engaged + it receives beast handler buffs)
Some of the more pro list expansions
Crazy Cat Lady- -Makeda2 -Tyrant Rhadiem -2x Praetorian Ferox -2x Willbreaker (they give out tough)
Fatty Winds of Death- -Dominar Rasheth -2x Seige Anamantrix -Venator Dakar -2x Venators Reivers -2x Venator Flayer Cannon Crew
Suggested Casters-
Xerxis 1 (infantry lists) and 2 (beast lists) Mak 1 and 2 Hexeris 1 and 2 Zaadesh 2 Zaal1 and 2
Our medium based infantry is currently making a comeback because of Masters of War, but that is all still being figured out. Praetorian Swordsmen die too easily. Exhalted lists are GREAT against opponents who excel against living models, but the models used are only used together.

Yeah our medium base infantry are definitely seeing a resurgance under MoW. Morghoul3 and Mak1 both provide the tools to make them really shine

Ive personally had a lot of success with this list.
Theme: Masters of War 1 / 1 Free Cards 75 / 75 Army Lord Tyrant Hexeris - WB: +28 - Aptimus Marketh - PC: 5 - Rhinodon - PC: 12 (Battlegroup Points Used: 12) - Tiberion - PC: 22 (Battlegroup Points Used: 16) - Aradus Soldier - PC: 16
Mortitheurge Willbreaker - PC: 4 Extoller Soulward - PC: 3
Cataphract Arcuarii - Leader & 5 Grunts: 17 Cataphract Incindiarii - Leader & 5 Grunts: 17 Paingiver Beast Handlers - Leader & 5 Grunts: 7 Tyrant Commander & Standard Bearer - Tyrant & Bearer: 0
I generally use the warbeasts to deliver my heavy infantry into battle where they tear apart solos, infantry and light warbeasts. Using the spell swapping between hexeris and marketh enables me to use arc nodes for free or switching parasite between models in order to give me a massive advantage when going into the battle. I used tiberion's animus in order to get him into a clear shot of a circle caster. Then placed eyeless sight on hexeris, put soul slave on tiberion using marketh and finally cast obliteration through tiberion and instantly killed the caster. His feat is brutal as well, if used correctly it can remove half of a board particularily with circle as they often have high mat.

Haha woops didnt realise that thanks for pointing that out. To be fair hexeris was in range of tiberion and had enough fury so it didnt actually make a difference. With that in mind i will swap aptimus marketh for something else

With that in mind i will swap aptimus marketh for something else Yeah its pretty unfortunate and it was a huge nerf to Marketh's playstyle, and to Hexy in general. I think you'll still like him though because he generally enables work to be done between his mat buff and arm debuff. Marketh is just a bad pair for him. Marketh loooooves morghoul3 though. like that is a match made in heaven. you get an insanely strong spell slave (one of the strongest spell slaves in the entire game, almost nothing comes close) and help morghoul upkeep 2 pretty good upkeeps. So try him with Morg3
