This is very true.
I've been running Bane Knights plus Wrong-Eye lately for exactly this reason - infantry just stop dead when trying to hit DEF 14 under star-crossed. Works like a treat right until you leave wrong-eye in charge range (still kicking myself over that blunder this weekend)

My game on the weekend was also against Testament running Exemplar Inderdiction. Myself and my mate have played the scaverous (Dark Host) / Testament (Interdiction) matchup about 4 times now, so we know each others' sneaky tricks, and on the day I played abysmally and got Tarterus killed top of 2, and allowed a (arcnode? forgot the name) to just charge Wrong-Eye, nothing required to get there. Just a pure brain-fart of a turn, as well as wasting scavvy's feat by letting him self-sac away three excarnates. Just abysmal.
He clearly felt too confident, though, and then left Testament on zero camp, and with a whole rube-goldberg machine of activation I managed to get a desecrator on to Testament to kill him. Clearly robbed him of a well-deserved win, but I was proud of the sneaky way I got to the caster nonetheless.

PS
If you have a mate playing Cryx, get him to try the testament / scaverous matchup. It's got a surprising amount of depth, which makes for a lot of fun.
