First bug, Nightwretches are not a possible free card in black industries.

I noticed that too! I was trying to build a denny 3 list and it wouldn't give me the goods!

Theorycrafting overload. Too many things to try. Too many options In all seriousness though: I'm already mostly finished with my Ghost Fleet (which I might change over to Goreshade3) and Asphyxious2 Dark Host armies. So those will stay as my primary lists. Too costly to switch to something completely different at this point. Infernal Machines (don't want it to feel left out) I would gladly run with Terminus and some ILO empowered Seethers. If it didn't require buying several boxes of Mechanithralls. Still seems like a solid mix of swarm and warjack aggression, though I CAN see some issues arising with block myself in if I'm not careful. Bonus points for getting to use Saxon Orrik again! Black Industries looks fun and I'd like it give it a run with Scaverous, Erebus, and my two drag jacks. It's finally a viable build as he can use WE+SJ and Croe's again while Making Erebus insanely difficult to kill. Honestly, this will probably become my go-to theme for thrown together armies whenever I don't have the pieces for my two main armies (on the painting table). Throw in an ILO + Seether, some warwitches, and call it good. Scourge seems.... ok. I'm honestly a little disappointed that they keep recycling Theme bonuses here. But if we're not thinking about them as duplicates, they seem fine. An ambushing Stealthed unit with anti-tough seems pretty fun. Default pathinder lets the Raiders run Whipping Winds without relying on a Ghost Walk warcaster. Just... kind of lacking until we get those satyxis solos and misery cage released. Really though, the theme doesn't need to do much. Satyxis were already strong. They just needs those solos to be complete. Slaughter Fleet I strangely like. It uses some unusual models I wouldn't normally use but like the look of. Also gives us our only real medium base army. The one caveat here is that, again, we need to wait for the rest of its models to be released for it to really work right. I would love to see some people field this one after the releases. Probably will as the models are likely being sold at one hell of a discount right now (because who really used them before?) End Result: I liked the Mk2 theme forces a lot more. For more thematic, unique bonuses (some of them), and had some fun skew lists. But... these themes seem far easier to balance and they ensure that every model has a place where it CAN be useful. Even if not every theme is top tier for tournaments, I can see each one being usable on the tabletop or in local tournaments. If a complete newbie told me they wanted to run Ogrun or Thralls (and not just mechanithralls) because they like how they look or play, I could happily tell them that it's perfectly viable to do so and to have fun.

I tried a few lists against Legion yesterday with the new themes. I'm pretty bad at the game, but my general impression is that the Satyxis theme sorely needs more solos (just for flags and contesting, honestly); Black Industries is really solid, especially with Coven to help with delivery; and Scaverous Dark Host with Croe's doesn't work very well against a fast list with no souls.
As long as Cryx is dominating the meta, I feel like Legion players will always bring a Throne or two and they're really annoying (especially threating 14" with Vayl 2).
I misplaced the Satyxis list badly, throwing a Satyxis unit in to jam when I didn't have to and losing the whole thing, so it's hard to judge accurately, but the lack of Machine Wraiths really hurts on scenario.

With the new terrain rules the pathfinder is really useful. I can't count the number of times my witches have gotten tangled up in terrain in Mk3. Also being able to charge through terrain to set up a captain knockdown is also huge. When I have more free time I'm going to run it with Sturgis and Gaspy1 to see what kind of feel I get for it. I suspect it's going to be a lot of fun.

My guess is that top 4 played TF will be GF, BI, DH and SotBC in no specific order, followed by IM and in last place SF. This at least until we get all the new models, then maybe SF goes up a little bit and probably SotBC goes up to number one.

I can already think of things I can do in SF, with the Coven, Skarre2 or Scaverous that I can't do with other lists. You'd be surprised.

Scourge & Slaughter Fleet are both hurting for options, and are only playable in a few specific builds at the moment. Once the next round of CID hits for us these themes are going to open up immensely.

I dont think scourge will change a lot, the core will still be raiders and witches, just some support solos will arrive The biggest change will be in SF, where we are getting even more support and 2 new units. Edit: lets hope our CID begins as soon as the minions' one ends

Edit: lets hope our CID begins as soon as the minions' one ends It's going to change a lot jut by virtue of having more things to spend free points on. Right now Slaughter Fleet only has 2 models you can take for free Gerlak & Aiakos1. Unlocking that 3rd free point slot is pointless since there's nothing else available to take. Scourge only has Blood Hags, Sea Witches, & Raider Captains. There's really no variety in options. Like Ghost Fleet currently is Scourge currently only has a singular build path. The new support models it's receiving will open up the options & list builds a lot.
