Lost Spell Piercer, gained Signs and Portents. Feat seems improved if just for ease of use and not killing your clock. Thoughts?

Feat will end up nerfed, its entirely too easy to put an end to a huge swath of casters just by feat turning due to the high armor value of gators + access to ambush tech to get close.
I expect either targeting each thing only once, or not being able to target warcaster/warlocks. Otherwise blindwalker spam might become a thing.

Yeah that's the thing. Even changing it to only target once AND no targeting casters, it would still be a great feat. I expect they'll just change one thing to start with.

I'm hoping that the nerf is that it can't target warcasters. I know, I know, it's a major nerf, but the other suggestion being bandied about is that you can only target any one model with one hit, which is way worse.

Of course we should be able to target warcasters. Otherwise it's just a stupid feat. However, they should make it so that only warrior models can be sacrificed, that would be enough I think.
But I haven't playtested yet, the feat might be fine as is.
JagaJaga finally became a caster I'd really like to play, which feels great because I love the model and the fluff about her, and I put a lot of time into painting her.

Skarre 1 has sacrificial strike, which targets friendly warrior models, not any model, which the Gatorman witch doctor still also has. Perhaps something like that, but uses the base Strength of a Friendly Warrior model, still a 5" range though. Reduces the damage output slightly.

How many casters die to 5 signs and portents pow16 hits?

Why only 5? It's D3+5 If you want to just use 5, an Arm16 caster on max camp would die. An Arm17 caster would get close. If they aren't on max camp or you get more models in range, any caster is straight up dead. Jaga-Jaga's feat currently lets her replenish her Fury too as the feat models die from unsourced damage, thus she can leech. She can cast signs and portents and follow up with 3 deadweights if the caster is in range of that!

I'm not sure S&P works with the feat as a model is not making the damage rolls and only ff models benefit from the spell.

Jagajaga is making the damage rolls, its why they specify unboostable.

There's a fair bit of value in being able to place 6-8 auto-hitting damage rolls pretty much anywhere you want them. Killing support, killing high defense solos, removing UAs before they minifeat, or just RFP-ing Revenant Pirate leader models with a virtually impossible to stop swamp shambler. It wouldn't be an extremely powerful feat, but a Signs and Portents Warlock should not have a stupidly powerful feat, much less one that gives you an almost guaranteed assassination on any caster than comes within 17 inches of models in your army.

It specifically says "target" which means JagaJaga needs LoS to the targets.
It's really a shame that now players actually have to use terrain, intervening models and tactics and actually play the game when facing JagaJaga...
