Hey Everyone I am a circle player, who has a large collection of Minions models I have amassed over the years to slot in with Circle & Legion. Looking at starting Minions, but haven't much attention to how things are going for a Piggies and Crocks at the moment? How is 2017 treating you fine people? Are there many fun options? Are you guys list locked much? trying to get a bit of a glimpse into all things Minions before I pull the trigger and buy more dollies to paint look pretty

Well, realistically, things are about as good for us as they've ever been We're still hanging around near the bottom of the pack, but the meta's in a reasonably good spot for that (well, I say that, I mean "We can beat Ghost Fleet and most other problems just got toned down). Arkadius/Calaban is probably the place to be if you're gunning for the most competitive pairing, but we have Rask and Carver as other strong choices and there aren't that many outright duds in the faction. We're all currently waiting with baited breath to see how Will Work For Food, our newest theme force, looks Edit: And lest I forget, Blindwater is getting a ton of new releases early next year, so we've got good things coming as a faction. The CID for them shouldn't be too far off.

I like to grumble a lot. I also own 3 armies, Protectorate, Retribution, and Minions. I'd say that 75-80% of the time, I reach for Minions. I really enjoy them, and it is very seldom that I feel outclassed in a match up.
One thing that may have changed from Mk2 to Mk3 but I can't be sure--I used to tell people that you can't dabble in Minions with much success. You got to commit the time to get results, this isn't Cygnar, if that makes sense. But if you do make the commitment, then the reward is great.
