Honestly, I think Witch_2 will be awesome: great protection against shooting via Windstorm and Koldun Lords. Hit fixer with Scourge and Blind. And Curse of shadows offers a way to indirectly get POW 14 Weapon Masters

A bit on the carzy sides, but besides OW2 I am thinking about S1 (as you mentioned for protection), Z1 (again for Protection and since she can't buff them anyways), SK1 (faster, better, harder, Forge Seers), Vlad2 (feat for Doomies and HoF for Outriders).
These are my top 5 to run doomies with

OW2 looks to be one of the strongest options to me - accuracy buff with Scourge; damage buff (with some interesting movement potential); strong defence against shooting (especially combined with a Koldun Lord).
Vlad2 for Hand of Fate Outriders; even more pumped up Doomreavers from the feat; some shooting protection.
I think those are the top two both for Doomreavers and the theme more generally.
After that, there are decent casters who don't run the Doomreavers quite so well, but still quite good:
Irusk2's not a bad choice for the reasons McDermott said, although it is a shame not to have any damage buff for the Doomreavers or jacks, so not as hard-hitting as some lists (probably not a problem if this is the anti-Cryx drop). Might not need Fenris due to the feat, freeing points for something else.
Sorscha1 for shooting protection (weaker than OW2 in most instances I think) and accuracy via feat/Freezing Grip.
Zerkova1 gives shooting protection both via clouds and feat and some protection in melee (careful positioning of clouds required). Has a pseudo-damage buff via Hex Blast stripping defensive upkeeps. Also very thematic. Could work.
Malakov2 could be interesting - some shooting protection/pathfinder via Veil of Mists, combo with the prowl plan. But not likely to run lots of Doomreavers (couple of units at most, I would think) and Sucker is not ideal in a theme with quite expensive, but fragile, models.

I like to take them with Vlad1 because with Signs and Portents he takes away their habit of missing when you really need them to hit and they seem to become a more solid attacker against warjacks. He makes them operate more smoothly... I know you don't own any of the Vlads, but I suggest that you if you can afford the expense you get either Vlad1 or Vlad2. Being a Khador player and not owning a Vlad just seems to me a lot like living on planet Earth and not drinking water.

Strakhov1 can also work. Provided he can keep up with the AD reavers.

Strakhov1 can also work. Provided he can keep up with the AD reavers. He can, thats the beauty of the theme forces. he starts with his upkeeps up, so he can run turn 1.

There's obvious OW2 combo with koldun lord. Z1 can deliver a bunch of reavers with clouds+feat. I think they're the only ones, Irusks, Sorscha and other casters that provide stat buffs instead of complete shooting shutdown will not work with doomies costing so much.
2x outriders, 2x doomies should be decent under Vlad 1/2, Stakhov2. Opponent will be too busy with ponies to dispatch doomies in time.
