I'm currently running a Hexy1 WoD and Zaadesh2 Imperial Warhost, and think neither is well-suited for B3. I've seen him in both Jaws of the Wolf and Winter Guard Kommand, and both have caused problems. Either I can't shoot him+escorts down in time with Hexy1, or he hides behind 'jacks, out-threats my Zaadesh2 brick and slaughters 3+ heavies on his run and breaks it.
I think Despoiler+Orin shuts down his run hard, but both are out-of-theme. My thought is to change my Zaadesh2 brick to be Sentries+Despoiler+Orin, which should still have ARM crack but takes his attack run off the table. I'm open to many other ideas, and like to hear what the community thinks. Perhaps Naaresh+Despoiler or Mordikaar, but I've little experience with the former, think Mordikaar took a big dropoff in MKIII, and wouldn't know what to pair with either.
Thoughts?

Playing Cats into him is extremely rough, but could become okay with a theme. The free points could allow for Swordsmen which could bring the necessary burst to deal with the Butcher himself. Winds could be okay, especially with the 2Turtle variation. I hear it works well with Fatty and can't imagine it to be much worse with Morghoul2.
Zaadesh2. I've played that matchup a couple of times and it sure isn't pretty. But you should not be outthreatened if you use Inviolable Resolve and Clouds. That is very dependent on positioning though.
Can't tell you how the 7Birds list that's all the rage right now fares.

You're going to have to be a touch more specific on just how you're building your lists and what the Butcher lists look like for a bunch of help. B3 is kind of nebulous and dependant on his build.
In any case I would think Z2 wouldn't do too bad in that matchup because of clouds and inviolable. You should be able to control his engagement fairly well. Feating defensively for the mat bonus and defensive strike + retributive strike + counter charges should do some work and scare off Butcher from charging your center line. At least until you can alpha.
In your WoD list do you have turtles? Turtles scare the crap out of Butcher. Well, boostable guns in general, but turtles definitely. If you can murder his dogs bottom of 1/top 2 you'll be in a great position. Most people run both dogs in front to block los instead of saving one in the back. Murder the dogs early, threaten the spell/debuff shooting assassination so he needs to play conservatively with Butcher and bottle him up whilst spreading the hell out yourself.

But between volume fire, aiming because of range 12, and debuffs, there's not much difference. He's ALSO afraid of boostable guns. Happy?

I managed to assassinate him on Zaadesh2 feat turn today when he made an assassination run on me but it was a very very close thing.

Options against him: 1. Tiberon or i. resolve target that prevents pushes by impending doom makes him unhappy 2. Wings of death makes him unhappy 3. Mordikar or/and his character beast makes spellcasting hard for him, thats a right call 4. Troop spam that can assasinate him makes him unhappy. I assasinated him with 4 karax under last stand and zaal1 feat

I might rework it entirely from Imperial Warhost into Exalted theme force. Death Rage+up to three attacks during their activation from heavy warbeasts sounds terribly good against him. He can't spend focus to damage if each attack potentially leads to a big counterstrike from a heavy warbeast.

Imperial Warhost with two Agonizers can make him sad. Just have to remember they have a no spell bubble!

In related news, it's safe to bring bugs to a Khador match again.
