By now I am sure everyone has seen the reveal, but seeing as there is no thread about it I figured I would start one. I give you "The black industries" theme force. privateerpress.com/community/privateer-insider/insider-09-15-2017I am new to Cryx myself (just recently purchased a large army off of Ebay), but I definitely love Jacks and this seems like a really solid theme force right off the bat. A free 7 point or less light jack for every 30 points of Warjacks is amazing, easily netting us 21 free points of lights. The 2 inches of extra deployment cannot be overstated, and with our quick jacks will let us book it up the field turn 1. Finally, all heavy jacks pick up carapace (+4 armour vs shooting attacks and free strikes). This last theme benefit is really intriguing to me (especially in a Cryx army), and unless I am mistaken will be really solid into shooting lists. I don't fancy being a shooting army when the enemy is packing arm 21 through 23 across the board. It's a good time to be in Cryx!

I have played primarily Circle since I started playing but have also played some Legion. I have always found the game is at its best when Cryx is at the top. I recall very fondly playing my Krueger2 lists in MkII vs Cryx (Skarre1 20 banes / 30 mccanithralls). Those were the days! I am excited to see what the other side of that coin looks like

Just think about Slayers being viable and have a little rest.

When you lose to Cryx, you likely murdered 50+ guys and it just wasn't enough or done quick enough, but hey at least I got to kill most of the Cryx guys things. When factions like Trolls or Khador are on top they armor brick super hard & when you lose you kill next to nothing & it feels like you didn't do anything. It's the Haley2 issue, few people enjoy a game where all they did was run forward & lose. That doesn't happen against Cryx unless you walk into an early assassination. Cryx always has easy to kill models.

Cryx always seems to be a nice counter to those types of Brick lists as well, which helps keep the game in a good spot balance wise IMO.
