Xerxis1 and Cetrati were what originally drew me to Skorne in MKII but I didn't get to play him much as the transition to MKIII was announced a couple of months later. So now I'm interested in hearing what experiences other people have had with him so far and to see what kinds of lists people have been using. Seeing as how I wanted to play at least one game without any proxies, the last list I played with Xerxis1 was:
Xerxis1 Agonizer Basilisk Krea Molik Karn Tiberion Gladiator Willbreaker Cetrati max with Vorkesh Beast Handlers min
I played it against a Menoth list using Severius1, a Devout, a Reckoner, a Crusader (I think), the Avatar, Idrians, Daughters, Choir, the Deliverer Crew and some solos. It went pretty well but fury management was a big problem during my feat turn. Tiberion and Molik ended full up on Fury after the first managed to Overtake through half a unit of Idrians and Molik took out the Reckoner and left the Avatar on 7 boxes. It didn't help that he feated in response just to mess with everything. They both frenzied but managed to live through that turn as his last heavy was committed to taking out the Cetrati under Defender's Ward. The game ended when Severius couldn't stay out of killbox AND avoid Tiberion and Xerxis. I realized afterward that my fury problems might have been mitigated a little if I gave the Gladiator to Zaadesh. I'm also hoping to try another list:
Xerxis1 Tiberion Gladiator Agonizer Hakaar Willbreaker x2 Orrik Beast Handlers min Karax max Swordsmen max with CA Legends of Halaak
I'm not sure about everything here. Hakaar seems decent with everything Xerxis can bring but mostly I just ended up with 11 points left and added in Hakaar and a second Willbreaker for lack of any other idea. I also thought that the Karax CA might serve some purpose as, with the feat and Stir the Blood, they can use their minifeat plus a Willbreaker to become MAT 7 PS 14 with CMAs and also be ARM 20 with Tough and no KD.

seems like your opponent hasn't had a lot of Skorne competition yet. His list has a whole lot of meta issues when facing high armor, boxed infantry squads and an avatar is not going to be a good match up against Molik on the charge.
Your first list is a little light on infantry. Xerxis1 is in his element when he's playing in a list that can take full advantage of his ability to move infantry units through each other and also cancel blocking their line of sight. Good job pairing him with Molik Karn, a lot of people forget just how powerful Xerxis is when he can move through infantry and repo back 5 inches. Agonizer and Krea duo also satisfies our support requirements.
For your second list, don't get too attached to tibbs. Yes, he can wreck house, but Molik is cheaper and gives Xerxis Repo. Hakaar is nasty once he gets up to 21 armor so make sure to keep him close enough to your karax and swordsmen to absorb some souls. The Willbreakers are not that good against people who know what they can do; they'll be sniped early or models that are good for his influence will be placed on the other side of the board. Don't bother with the Karax attachment, they do their job fine without. Let the Karax run base to base with as many units as you can as you move up, then use them as jamming units to let your swords and legends go to town. Also, remember that with Xerxis ability to let all warrior models see through each other, our 2 inch reach models can actually CHARGE units that are completely jammed by the Karax and swordsmen. Abuse his tactica as much as possible, see what comes out of it!
I'm currently testing a Cataphract brick that is working pretty well, but I still need to work out some kinks. All of that medium based model movement through each other with ranged units in the mix causes massive chaos. Getting support monsters into the brick without blocking infantry pathways is also causing issues.

Start drive.google.com/open?id=0BwDLR6YQge4TRnB6Ulo1LTQzRW8I wanted to run xerxis with the mammoth and I am trying to reuse the aggy by having both karax and cetrati in the same list. Top1 Forgot the picture but everything runs and there are a few daughters in shooting range of the mammoth Bot1 drive.google.com/open?id=0BwDLR6YQge4TX1hpYTdOMFphUE0Mammoth steps up shoots what he can. Karax get +2 speed and shieldwall forward. Cetarti gets the same but I messed up my deployment and the CA in the center doesn’t get into shield wall with anyone. The legends hang behind the centrati aggy cries -2 strength and I prep for the alpha. ONe defensive strike kills a cav member good deal. Top2 drive.google.com/open?id=0BwDLR6YQge4TcHlmMVFIWnEzYnMAnatomical sucks vs shield wall troops. The karax get removed easily and the cav starts to engulf my on both sides. I always forget how far the ambushing unit can get and a bunch of my PGBH get tied up. Bot2 drive.google.com/open?id=0BwDLR6YQge4TTXVZZ1JzaHo1dlULegends charge failing a smite action and leaving them much farther up field than I want but they are able to kill off 2 ponies. I kill off the center daughters while lamenting how hard it is to spread out with xerxis1. I feat the mammoth kills off stuff it can get to and the aggy tries to stay safe and relevant and it doesn’t work super well. Top3 drive.google.com/open?id=0BwDLR6YQge4TYkVKN0tHYlVZaHcThe middle portion of my army is completely removed. This makes ½ the centratti over by xerxis out of command by a HUGE area. The cav charges the mammoth and repos back. The proxied jacks of some sort come in and kill off all the legends. Daughters kill a bunch of PgBH and tie up the rest. Bunch of guys get to Xerxis but it doesn’t matter. Bot3 drive.google.com/open?id=0BwDLR6YQge4TNExlaXloSWtSeFUI drop def ward onto xerxis there was a infantry model in front of the mammoth you can’t see that xerxis goes over and kills then steps back. The mammoth tries to free up the middle cetrati because they are out of command. The cetrati get back into command and swing at the jacks not doing much. The pGbh kill daughters but really needed to heal the mammoth and were not able to. Top4 drive.google.com/open?id=0BwDLR6YQge4TbVE0Mm5YMlVqMlkThe cav charges the mammoth and with the center jack and the solo guy kill it off and then win on scenario. Final thought. It is really hard to spread out with xerxis1 SR 2017 may kill this caster off all by itself. Mammoth is good but lacks a quantity of attacks most lists will need. Legends seem to be highly dependent on to hit rolls because of the low number of high quality attacks. I have seen them run with def ward on them and they can be a real problem.

Xerxis1 Krea Gladiator Tiberion
Rhadeim Willbreaker Gobber Chef
Ferox (max) Ferox (max) Handlers (min)
This list is anything but slow, and hits so hard it's astounding. I'm testing the Animantarax instead of one of the units of Ferox right now. It's gone well so far.
A key part of the list is reminding the opponent that Tiberion threatens 14" because of Lurch and Rush. I'm not likely to cast Lurch, because Xerxis1 should camp something, but the threat of it controls the opponent.
Also important is how the Ferox under feat and Stir the Blood will take out a heavy without missing a beat. Use Rhadeim to remove most of another heavy on feat. Attrition from there is a breeze.
