Thinking about trying them out with Magnus2.
Clear with the pushes ... Feat, so the opponent can go only left and right and push farther next turn.
Are you having plans for other casters ? If so, which one ?

I think Caine3 still wants some gunmages with them, although of course he offers no real support.

Ashlynn likes them, and they like her. Def 14 infantry that are Llaelese is wonderful, and they like to crit when possible.

I feel like they are begging for the Llaese them force. Gibbs makes them decent (with repo) but they want to hide in concealment. That makes me want to bring Gorman and Rhupert. Plus, if I want one set of gun mages, I probably want 2. That means I'm running 2 13 point modules and a 4 point solo, coming to 30 of my 75 points. That precludes playing them with Caine3 (in my mind) as he is starting down 8 points (although maybe Galleon, Halberdiers, Alexia, and Sgt. Nick with the above would make a decent list). If you get free solos in the theme force though, wow.
Basically, I'm thinking that they are too expensive for what they require you bring to the table in order to perform up to their point value. That didn't stop me from getting a pair of boxes though, so I'm anxious to see how dojo translates to tabletop.

I've have tried them out in a Mag1 list that had most of the "Llalese Package"
-Gibbs -TGMs -Taryn -Ragman -Gorman
I love the addition of Repo3" to all of these guys. Makes them so much better and I haven't any issue keeping them in Gibbs CMD range.
I would also like to try them with Mag2 and Ossrum. I really like being able to snipe them with Ossrum to keep them far from the front line. With Mag2 his damage buff makes their both barrels shots super deadly and Thunderbolt shots are great to add a bit of extra control to his feat.

They're solid with Ashlynn. I plan on running a unit or 2 next time I play one of the Mags or Fiona.

I don't understand why we can't use them in Khador. THE WAR IS OVER, LLAEL IS A HAPPY, FUNCTIONING PART OF THE MOTHERLAND, JUST GET WITH THE PROGRAM ALREADY!
PP should release a "New Recruits" theme list for Khador where we get non-character Merc and Llaelese models; I'm thinking Steelheads and Gunmages, and of course access to Vanguards.
... OK, I might be trolling a bit, but hey! A guy can dream, right?

We're not happy, we're just so deeply under nourished that you can't hear our protestations! Llael is the most fertile part of Khador! In the far north whole families sleep on the fields, with their bodies directly against the soil, to stop the crops from freezing and dying during the cold nights! And that's in summer, when it only snows a couple of times a week!Do you really grudge your fellow countrymen a little food to feed their children with? Also we need your entire stockpile of coal for a couple of Conquests that are passing through. We know you'll understand.

Understand?! You barely speak the same language, you unfashionable fur-coat wearing, rifle bearing, root vegetable eating, uncultured farrow! In the spirit of peace, I have a gift for you Komrade: this nice sword here. Very impressive isn't it, with all the decorative faces screaming in silent agony along the flat of the blade? Plus, the green glow can help you find your way around at night when you go to answer nature's call!

Also, I already have a sword! It was my great great grandfathers, passed down from generation to generation. He bought it from a trader coming back from the dark continent, and it has never been unsheathed. It holds great sentimental value... Fight with it? Why would I do that?! That's what my Magelock Pistols are for! Haven't you ever seen a pair? I suppose not. That's why we picked Cygnar as a trading partner.
