I wanted to build a list that served as a great delivery-mechanism. The Cetrati feel like a unit that benefits the most from this as they can walk 9" in Shield Wall and even be protected by the feat. The threat of the Ferox is almost unparalleled, and giving them Tough is a great bonus. Molik + Jackhammer is awesome. I've used that to clear both infantry and finish off colossals.
I purposely chose more durable infantry because I found the need to cut into Makeda1 's life to be less. They can readily absorb shooting and make their own Tough rolls. And not many opponents want to eat the Retaliatory Strike.
The "questionable " choice is the Shaman. He was added because i face a lot of Circle and Cryx.
I'm curious what others have developed and how it's working out.

Might I suggest Marketh? He can give you an extra Lurch and a free upkeep potentially.

I am a big fan of Vorkesh here too. Tough with steady and Sacred Ward has saved me in a couple of matches.

I just won a 12-man Steamroller using this list. . Only had to play this once, into Issyria, and used Zaal1 for the other 2 matches. Nonetheless, this list feels good to play.

Because of who I have to play against down here I could never pull off straight wins without having Vorkesh when I play my cetrati (I'd need to use the Tyrant's movement command on my cetrati, keeping him from using reveille) It's still a very good assassination list, especially if they don't know what the Willbreaker can pull off... Unfortunately for me, Willbreaker would be picked off second round, AoEs tossed into the beasthandlers, and anything else they can reach into my force would be focused on either the glad or karn while knocking down the Cetrati before attempting to kill them off Once I get my light infantry set up though, I'll be able to twart a lot of what they build. Where I'm at the Meta is really focused on threat range and board control. You'll see a lot of high defensive lines and lists chalked full of pathfinder, stealth, and ghostly/incorporeal units.

It's got everything you could want... except more Shield Guards.
I think Makeda1 is a good answer to gunlines though... Shield Guard, Tough, no KD, massive Mobility, and a feat that Guarantees another round of fighting. But not knowing specifically what you're up against or board state and such, it's difficult to assess. I can't tell you that you're doing it wrong. I can only say that this is working for me.
