It looks more modern, but without CID being active, I can't really say that it is or not.
the fact that they're manually validating users should (hopefully) give some people pause before venting their vitriol. The examples of bad feedback could almost have been written by some of the more infamous posters on the forums. (Maybe that's where they got the examples)

Possibly. My only gripe is the "no sarcasm" clause... but honestly, that's because I expect PP to have a hard time adhearing to it

Man, they really hated the old forums, didn't they. CLEANSED WITH FIRE.

We are still in the dark about the normal forums though.

Just took a look at the reddit, actually. The FAQ said that there would be no faction forums, and someone used some internet magic to find the current list of sub-fora on the webpage. If this is all true, then I do suppose I'll have my work cut out for me. Anyone wanna do some tactica content to help get discussion started?

This seems to be the list of surviving forums on the main board. They really cancelled both the General forum and the Faction subforums.
Also, one of the FAQs seems to officially confirm it:
In practice, PP just shut down any boards where discussion is actually possible. The main forums don't have sections for it, and the CID forums let you discuss only the specific models in test in that moment and looking at the guidelines will be probably more a place where send feedbacks (into specific forms) to devs than to actually discuss them with other members of the community.
I think this is a big error from PP. It will alienate his playerbase, and the discussion in other boards will be a lot more boundless than it was on the general forum. Maybe they think that doing so they will protect newbies from the salt, but if a newbie has enough internet expertise to find the main forums, sure he will have enough to also find the unofficial boards (or will have friends to point them to him), and in those boards there will be nothing to prevent users to vomit all the possible acid on PP, or write things like "WM/H is just terrible for X reasons, you should play game Y instead", that I'm sure it is not the kind of welcome PP wants to expose a new player to.

I can't find that question in the CID FAQ, so perhaps they've changed their minds

I can only say: what the everloving [REDACTED]. Their front-facing people need to have some serious reflection, because between cid rules and removing faction forums they've undermined the only thing that had me stepping to their corner these last few months
"We hear you. Keep taking. Keep giving us feedback"
Where? You've annihilated the community that I and other posters in cryx made a damn effort (with the help of moderators via reports) to clean up and keep constructive. You've fragmented your base into communities that already hate the forum posters. Have you seen the Reddit discussion? The kinds of responses you get on Facebook if you go against the grain? Good. [REDACTED]. Luck.
Make a [REDACTED] effort to engage with the community you just summarily kicked in the sensitives.

So, who's ready for CID testing? With the current trajectory it looks like we're gonna be using these boards for a while longer, and I'd like to get some discussion going! What are you excited for, what do you fear for? What are your plans for Piggeybacks and Neighslayers? Let's get talking, and show PP that they can take away our faction boards, but they can't break our spirits!

I'm actually just looking forward to seeing all the rules for the Grymkin and seeing how they will function together. We know a lot of things, but the devil will be in the details, especially the points.

We know a lot of things, but the devil will be in the details, especially the points. Same honestly. I love their lore, my paint-jobs are gonna be terrible anyway so I can deal with them looking a bit silly, all I need now is to see if I enjoy playing them
