I see all three varieties of heavies. I've seen threats extended up to 5", but that was thanks to a feat. Outside of that, its usually anywhere from 2-4". Wolds I can see people taking, but what are they doing with Satyrs? For threat extension, I'm gonna assume Hunter's Mark + ....something? Lots of bs, thats what lol. They're neraphs that can slam, basically. Rarely ever Hunter's Mark. Usually it involves pushing their own pieces without knocking them down. Or, my favorite, Bradigus' feat. Oh, and never let them move first. But, I always fail my initial roll, so...

They removed power attack push & the ability to power attack your own models. Most things like beat back only work on enemy models, Brad feat excluded of course.

Yeah, it's beginning to sound like your Circle players are pulling illegal stunts.

Are they just /TELLING/ you that it's legal and works or /SHOWING/ you? Because I just /SHOWED/ you that its illegal. I can get the rulebook pages too if you want. I should know too, because I tried to beat back Rhyas into an assassination route only to have it pointed out to me that the push, but not the damage, only works on enemies. It really sounds like you're being taken for a ride. I'm not trying to discount your story, I'm just trying to look out for a fellow Legionnaire.

TBH II'm really close to selling my pieces and saying "Firetruck this game".

I am honestly curious now. If you don't mind, what /EXACTLY/ are they using to push their own models with? For my Hordes faction decision in Mk2 it was a toss up between Legion and Circle. I know druids got dumpstered on, but Warpwolves make up for it and I never understood the Shifting Stone Tech. If they're some hidden tech I'm not noticing, then I'd be very tempted to jump ship, or at least start a mini-faction.

Maybe they just face Wurmwood a lot. I've never seen wurmwood ever. None of the Circle players play it.

Krueger2 has TK, Wurmwood has Hellmouth, and Thorle has his feat. Other than these I can't think of anything Circle has that can be used for "pushes" to extend range. Shifting Stones can teleport models, but the ported models can't move after. All other push effects are enemy only. You can't power attack your own model. Krueger 1's Tornado, Brennos critical pitch, and Woldwarden chain:smite can all be done to your own model. But they all result in the model being knocked down. Being immune to KD doesn't help here as the model must still forfeit either it's movement or combat action if it activates later and it can't shake because that occurs during the Control Phase.

Davy at this point I think its pretty important to clarify what models and abilities he is using. While circle has lots of movement shenanigans, they typically do not involve pushing their own models. warmachine is a game of very specific wording.

Judging how he brought up Satyrs, I think his opponent is using bulldoze/beat back illegally... not really any other way for the things he is saying that are happening to happen.

Otherwise I'd be using the same tactic. I usually only see one satyr, for tech value. Not sure about bulldoze.

There are also spells like Spirit Door (Kaya) and Warpath (Kromac) that allow for out-of-activation movement. Not pushes, though.
