Hi all!
Never expected myself to come here as a PoM player but my GF will be buying herself Legion battlebox starter.
She likes the look of Raptors and Lylyth 3 but what else should a list have?
In what order should the models be bought?

Searaph and Naga are both essential to legion. Get those first. One or two magnetised heavy kits after that. And Fury Management/Solos. Two forsaken and a couple Sheperds/Spell Martyrs.
Should be enough for a while.

I suggest buying an Angelius before a Scythean, only because you have the makings of a Ravens of War theme list right there.

Strider blightblades + grotesque raiders + raptors gives you two free solos.
Ad seraph, naga, angelii/neraphs, solos (forsaken/deathstalkers/annyssa/hellion) and you got a list.

This is a solid module. Throw in the Bolt Thrower from the starter box too, since Lylyth(all of them) love that beast. Raiders and Blightblades tend to jam or attack infantry while your beasts have to do the heavy lifting. Raptors /can/ pull double duty. For Kryssa, I'd do something like: Kryssa 2x Angelius 2x Neraph Angelius Naga Raptors Raiders Blightblades Forsaken Forsaken For Lylyth3: Lylyth3 2x Angelius 2x Bolt Throwers Naga Raptors Raiders Blightblades Forsaken Forsaken As much fun as I've had with Ravens, unless she plans on playing with another list, I'd really consider something else. What does the rest of the forum think? Would going out of theme be worth it for Raptors?

How the models look is the most important thing for Her.
I only try to make a list that works. It does not need to perform on a tournament level. Also it can stop for a long time on a 35 or 50 points level.
Second question: As a PoM player what list/models should I not use? Like Amon Jack spam?

The easy one would be to stay away from Deliverers until after the CID rules are confirmed. Probably want to stay away from Vanquishers to when list building, though the kit is great if you want Crusaders/Templars. From there, it'll largely depend on what you like. PoM is pretty middle of the road, so that although we're not winning many tournaments, most things aren't in the garbage. If you like knights, pick up some Exemplar, if you like non-knight crusaders try Flameguard. Generally, if you want to play a jack army, try Amon, Tristan, Durst. For infantry, Harbinger, Reclaimer, Vindictus. For a caster either Severius. Now that I think about, PoM needs another "mage" type caster.

I want to know what Legion don't like to see when playing againts PoM. I don't want to make a counter list by accident.

In that case, beast based shooting tends to hate the reckoner chassis due to fire immunity.
Shooting especially if it ignores stealth is also troublesome due to little in the way of range protection.
Finally Legion is relatively pillow-fisted so high ARM builds are annoying to fight.

The last point is especially true of most Ravens of War lists as they fall flat on their faces against more then a couple high arm targets (outside of possibly Fyanna).
