Hey Guys,
One thing that I used to like to read about/discuss on the old forums was list building, but we don't seem to do as much of that here. I have been findingly lately that, although they are still great, my usual tournament pairing of Butcher 3 and Sorscha 1 is starting to lack some of it's lustre to me. Figured I'd share a few of the lists I've been experimenting with lately. Any comments you guys have would be much appreciated. Feel free to share your own lists too!
Experimental List 1 - Old Witch in Winter Guard Kommand
In my meta I have noticed that infantry swarms have made a resurgence, particularly ranged infantry. After I noticed this, it gave me even further drive to play my favourite caster. When I made this list my initial thought was "feat with old witch, and put down creeping barrage templates to punish standing still". Perhaps some shaky ground to use as the core of a list, it also felt to me like the conquest was offsetting some of the need for hitting power I often find with Witch lists.

Experimental List 2 - Butcher 2 in Jaws
This one doesn't actually have to be Butcher 2, the only requirement I have determined through playtesting is that I like to have a boundless charge caster on it. In spite of some of his drawbacks, Butcher 2 has done pretty well at leading this list however. Initial playtesting has gotten a surprisingly large amount of work out of the Kossites. Their crowning moment thus far has been coming close to bringing down Jakes running a charger (I guess they Jammed her at least?). That was probably on the high end of their statistical bell curve of usefulness though . Have been looking at trying this with Vlad 1 as well (knowing I'd have to change the heavies around because no ruin)

Experimental List 3 - LOS with one Iron Fang Pikemen unit and one Uhlan unit
I don't own more than one unit of Pikemen or Uhlans. I never really warmed up to pikemen in the same way that a lot of people did during MK II (especially Black Dragons, I always preferred the vanilla pikemen because mobility > armor on single wound infantry in my opinion). Nevertheless, the Legion of Steel lists you guys are making look like a lot of fun and I want to try my hand on it. I have considered buying a second unit of uhlans... but until I pull the trigger this is what I have been playing around with. I really wish that marauder could be a juggy. Maybe I don't need the second Kovnik, then the marauder could become a juggy and a war dog!

Experimental List 4 - Loud Chris Variant
I used to play something like this in MK II, though I used Uhlans instead of Shockies. Now that Shock Troopers have received their UA and gotten great in MK II. I have given this a shot a few times, to encouraging success. I am wondering if the rifle corps should be greylord outriders. They were a component of my MK 2 list, and might be better at unjamming the MOW if they get something in their face they don't want to deal with. I know a few of you have been experimenting with a similar list. What do you think about that?
