Hello there Kommies!
I posted this question to the Legion community and got some great feedback. Here's hoping I get the same from you all.
I'm a Ret and Troll player. My question to you all is this; What do you not want to see across the table when facing Trolls or Retribution?

Doomie3, but you probably know that already since no one likes playing against him. Jack lists don't like Calandra. Bringing EBDT is a good idea to stop freeze shenanigans and a solid number of our possible assassination runs through caster freeze/knockdown. The biggest problem for Trolls vs. Khador is how they solve Vlad rocketspam. I can't remember any particularly hard counters for it.
I don't think anything particularly is hard to answer for Khador in Retribution. Between mhsf, weaponmasters and synergy Vyros jackspam is usually a bad drop, but I again don't see hard counters for winter guard or fangs in Retribution.

Ret has always been one of the toughest matches for Khador.
MHSF are a good all rounder. Stormfalls can scatter aoes on light infantry, set iron fangs on fire, and brutal damage heavies. Eiryss3 is bad for our casters because most like to play forward. Banshee because it easily hits everything. Kaelyssa can Stationary jacks like a madwoman. Ossyan buffs the damage output on all these things.
Trolls I can't say. I haven't had much of a problem with them since mk3 dropped. So many of their abilities can be cancelled by positioning that Khador seems to fare ok. Probably mass infantry spam is my biggest fear because it makes scenario a crapshoot based on tough checks.

I have had the most trouble with Trolls into a well played Ragnor in PoD, and Gunny (also in PoD). My usual answer to trolls is to drop a Butcher list into them, but a well timed Ragnor feat leaves Orsus and his jacks looking rather pillowfisted factoring in all the support a troll list can offer. With Gunny it's really hard to keep track of all the places bombers can fling their highly damaging weapons. (I'm sure others have solutions to this, but the way my list pairings usually break down. That's what we're dealing with My problem areas with Ret were highlighted pretty well by Zerosequence, though I'd like to add that I really don't like to see Rahn on the other end of the table (TK in general is not what I like to see, let alone all the other nonsense). Luckily the way themes work, I have had a brief reprieve from him lately.

Retribution is very versatile. Rahn gives headaches and requires us to be prepared...but then the other list trumps our preparation. So it's not even a #listchicken but more #pairchicken - meaning either you have a list in your pair that is fine with both opponent's lists or tough luck. Trolls give another type of headache. I think it is the Retri situation above reversed. Trolls have to toolup to khador. And either they have that list or tough luck. Typical Doomy3/Gunny pair is not valid imo.
