Tharn Ravagers (max) [16]
- Tharn Ravager Chieftain [0(5)]
I don’t think it’s a good pair, I have almost no armor breaking what I have is the possibiity of playing Mohsar and see how he works and try to see if K1 makes a semi anti-gun list that can work.
This weekend we have 9 guys so I only got 2 games since I got the bye on round2.
Round 1 (Outlast):
Playing into Ret Issyria Shooty theme (BE, Stormfalls, Halberdiers and snipers. Bg was Phoenix and Hemera) and Vyros2 (Heios + Griffons+Stuff)
I was convinced he would play Vyros and went with Mohsar to try and assassinate him but he took Issyria. Damm, I looked at the snipers and thought my pillars are
dead.
1st turn:
I went 1st and moved up outside his halderdiers charge range (It’s your 17”line) on their side and pushing a bit with Wyrds, BE and Purebloods but keeping Wyrds/BE outside blinding light range.
He moves up and pushes hard with Halderdiers and places the BE in primie shooty range. Issyria is B2B with th BE covered by it and Hemera.
2nd turn:
I go for assassination. Blinding Light is going live and with BE and Halderdiers shooting whatever they feel like it’ll go south.
I have 2 avenues:
Kill Phoenix and a Wyrd can move and shoot Issyria (She has IR up on her) or I can try and kill Hemera and shoot her in the face. Either way I can get 2 Sprays from the Purebloods on her.
My BE is slightly behind the flag so to get in range of Hemera I have to block LOS with one wyrd who could get to Hemera as well. Well, I can Charge the Phoenix with 1 WoO (Should have moved up more with them) and the Argus. I do so and after a couple of bad-ish dmg rolls I see how mohsar can kill him, I end up going with 2 Sprays from purebloods, 1 Spray from Mohsar via crevasse and Fire blast dmg. She ends up with 4 life and on fire. I still have the fire.
Wolwyrds roll like WoldStalkers and generally do nothing, I don’t kill any of the heavies… I feel I should have focused on killing Emerya and just do some damage to Issyria.
He feats, KD my 2 purebloods (I detest that BE) and murders him with very resources. Blinding Lights goes up on the BE and stuff just dies a lot.
3rd Turn:
Mohsar has 1 roll, needs 16 doesn’t get it. It’s like 96 Army points to 0
Interesting stuff!
Remembers the useless pillars? THEY ARE NOT. Deadly shot doesn’t work on it and neither does AP so his ways of breaking pillars would be the BE and the stormfalls who need 9s… L2P on my part.
Round 2: Got a bye and helped 2 new guys (I hope!) get a battlebox game. Khador and Circle, both totally painted. WOW. Hope these guys decide to invest in WM/H.
Round3 (Breakdown):
Thagrosh2 with a bunch of flyers or Vayl2 with Fliers + Hex Hunters. All in Oracles.
I go with K1. He takes Thagrosh2 with 3 Neraph (MAT7), Angelius, Typhon, Naga, Seraph, 2 x Forsaken, Sorceress and Shepperd.
1T:
I prey his angelius with trackers and move the female side up against his typhoon and Angelius, he moves a bit to defensive positions and presents the Angelius behind a linear.
2T:
I primal my Scarsfell and charge into the angelius. After 5 attacks I do 2 dmg. I even had to move Krueger to a less than spot to keep him in control range. The bloodweavers and trackers who get charges make up for the griffon and kill him off. Ravagers and Death Wolves move to the middle of the table.
Typhon discovers than spraying female Tharns covered with Gale winds isn’t easy, the Neraphs show that MAT 7 is a thing and stuff dies a lot. Death Wolves took a lot of attacks so I have 2 Vengeance move and will get a lot of charges off.
3T:
I kill 2 Neraphs and dented a 3rd. Had to use the feat to ge the last point on one of the Neraphs. On typhon side he gets Grievous wounds and takes some dmg (He has the +2 ARM). I’m spreading it out with mathematical precision so he has all aspects.
He kills more but we are both losing models fast fast fast.
4T, 5T:
Stuff dies. Typhon still has all aspects and grievous wounds. His objective is gone and my stalker is ready to kill whatever moves up to contest. My Gorax is ready to run to central and tyhon zone to contest. He will also draw either Typhon or Thagrosh away from my scoring zone. I have nightwitch applying Grievous once more to typhoon and failing to kill of an aspect, Gorax, Stalker and Krueger and my objective. He has Thagrosh, Naga, Typhon, Neraph.
6T:
Gorax runs in. Stalker moves up as much as he dares, K1 is just outside Thagrosh’s threat ready to Hurricane something if need be.
He decides to kill off the Gorax with Thagrosh and loses on time while rolling dice. I imagine his plan was to use typhon on the objective and score 2 on central and side zone and contest with Nage and Seraph. I think I could deal with both and contest central zone. But who knows.
This is my first brief report. Hope you liked it. Hopefully the next one will be with new interesting Cid toys...
