So, I got to thinking, what animi would certain warlocks love over others?
Here's my thoughts:
Rhyas: Still as Death, Ornery, Counterblast, Slipstream, Wraithbane.
Slipstream and Wraithbane are universal animi for warlocks to love, but both REALLY up Rhyas' assassination potential.
A countercharging Rhyas is going to hurt. A lot. It does potentially put her in danger, but it can create a fairly uncomfortable bubble for some people.
Counterblast and Ornery ensure that any attack on her is going to result in retaliation. Ornery stacked with Riposte means that Rhyas will get at least one attack off. Counterblast is an immediate attack regardless, and is the better of the two animi for ensuring (potential) safety.

It's also gonna be nice to have Sprint back for some of our combat casters. Too bad it'll only be out of theme, unless Golab gets included in one.
Back in the days of Mk2, y'know when we had non-self animi, I loved arcing various animi through Zuriel with Saeryn. Tenacity, Spiny Growth, Safeguard, Massacre. I'll admit I played Saeryn weird, but I thought it was fun.
Outside of Slipstream, Wraithbane, and maybe Repulse, Legion's animi overall are niche at best or downright suck.
P.S. Just a quick question regarding Counter charge: Can it be used as a pseudo-admonition on Rhyas? Given her innate parry if something advanced near her, but not engaging her, could she charge toward it, but stay out stay out of engagement by failing the counter charge?

Elusive is the new tenacity. I always cast it on my warlocks.

I don't know if I've got a top 5. I do like elusive on most casters. I've usually got 3 points left over in a list for a harrier anyway. If it's not elusive it's Farstrike or Slipstream. Excessive Healing saved my bacon against a Vyros2/Imperatus assassination attempt the other day. I don't know that I actually use most of the other animi at all on the casters. I don't use massacre, ornery, recoil, slaughterhouse, attractor, arcane suppression, boiling blood, or draconic aura at all, let alone on the caster. Very rarely I'll cast Wraithbane from the caster but usually the one from my naga is enough. I saw in another thread someone talking about attractor as a threat extender for beasts *other* than the neraph, so I might start actually using it.

I've been running Abby2 who just wants to proc alpha and feat to deliver a crippling blow. And lyl3 where clearly farstrike happens there a lot. With battle host, spiny growth makes her very tough as well.

I thought that any charge (with MK3) you had to move to engage or your full distance, whichever happens first? If that is accurate, then if a squad moves to engage you... I think between parry/acrobatics... you could charge over the masses to some poor schmuch who couldn't run far enough and get out of the way of a nasty clump. But you can't elect to charge... straight to the left... and elect to fail your charge to get out of trouble (say, if a single warbeast comes into range). Again, someone who is better at the rules than I would have to help ensure these thoughts are accurate.

Elusive is the new tenacity. I always cast it on my warlocks. Is it really better to have than Spiny Growth?

I would hazard a yes on most of our casters since DEF15+ makes you fairly safe from most non-boosted attacks whereas +2ARM on our ~16 standard isn't really useful. I just wish Elusive gave +1DEF to put Zuriel at DEF14.

Elusive - great when you have a Protector close by, but only works against melee
Spiny - good for everything else (especially guns), but great for locks with higher ARM like Lyly3, Kallus, Thags

Excessive healing is a very good one I think. But only thags can use it with theme

I like massacre as a threat extender/pinballer for Rhyas. It often takes people by surprise.
