How did you get that large a Skorne collection without the obligatory 10+ Cyclops Savages?!?

focus on using Hexeris2 and Makeda... wait you don't have kitties so switch Mak out for Xerxis. The void spirits are specifically for Mordikaar and he has a SHARP learning curve. You'll need either an agonizer OR a basilisk krea for every list you make, as are beast handlers (kind of like the choir for Menoth). The despoiler is pretty weak so put him on the backburner until you want to start a losing streak with Mordi to learn how to use him. You'll only ever need 1 extoller soul ward and will never need the reptile hounds. You could probably make a decent titan list by using the bronzeback to reduce their fury load. The Cyclops Shaman is almost always an auto include into my lists as he can be a very powerful assassination model. Both Tibs and Molik Karn are top tier models if you have the wiggle room. A titan gladiator (and only 1) should be in just about every list, as he can increase a beasts movement and give it pathfinder.
From what I'm seeing, your next "to get" should be a full unit of Karax, including their attachment. They take multi shots much better than Cetratii, especially under the Krea's aura. The Cetratii+Vorkesh is more for when you are facing something like Khador or trolls where you are, for sure, going to be getting into a brawl.
The next caster you should get is probably Lord Assassin Morghoul until you get yourself the exhalted list, which is a little on the pricy end considering the models you have. The exhalted list is...
20 immortals, both UAs, 2 Ancestral Guardians, and Hakaar. Once you have that then you'll be able to make a solid list with any of the Zaals, though I'd recommend using Zaal2, as timing his feat properly can win you the game no matter who you are going up against (+5 arm on all exhalted models that start at 17, bringing them up to 22 arm, not including other possible buffs... yes, 20 beat stick construct models with 22 arm x.x)

Thanks for the detailed reply. I assume we are talking about Makeda 2 as Makeda 1 was not in my list or should i get Makeda 1? I do plan to get the cav unit asap as they look fun to play. What would that list look like?

demonic - the guy just bought a huge collection with cash outlay already. Is there no list that can be built without additional purchases?

There's lots you can make now. Are you new to the game or just Skorne? We have great internal balance currently so "what should I make?" isn't as big a question as what do you want to play? We'll be at a competitive disadvantage until more themes are released so don't worry about it and have fun.
Xerxis bricks are fun and you've the pieces for it. Lots of other good stuff to be had. You're missing any of our casters that particularly make Cygnar cry so Makeda1 or Zaadesh2 might be in order if soo. But otherwise I'd play a bunch with what you've got. See how you like the faction to run.

Mak2, double kitty is a tourny level list that involves reviving the kitties as they pounce over screening units and kill premium units. Make sure to have Rhadeim in it, as his weapon is the most powerful armor piercing weapon that I've seen, thus far. PS 12, magical, on the charge gives it an average of 21 while cutting a khadorian heavy jack's armor down to 10, allowing it to do an AVERAGE of 11 (max of 20) boxes on the charge x.x; He also gives the kitties dodge, making them highly survivable (just move them into the unit's back arc or just move 2 inches away depending on the situation), even by normal standards. Then you add in her spells, the basilisk krea's animus that you can use with the cyclops shaman as well to spread it out a bit and save Makeda some fury for revivals... well you can see where this is going. Even cygnar finds Mak2 double kitty to be one grave pain in the ass. Mak2 double kitty and Zaal2 Exhalted were the two most feared skorne lists for quite awhile. Since people who face skorne have seen them both and know how to beat it, we've been spreading things around and trying to find other uses for specific casters. The reason why I didn't suggest Mak2 is because Xerxis is easier to use and is simply the other side of the same coin. I suggested Lord Assassin Morghoul as your next caster because you can 50/50 with him against even much more experienced players simply by getting Morghoul within range of their caster.

I am not new to the game. I just jumped on this lot cause i like the look of the elephants and the price was very low. I've been playing Circle and Protectorate for a few years.
Looks like my first purchase will be a unit of cav, will probably not get a second one until the first is painted and done. While that is on the painting table i will start with some Xerxis brick games as that sounds like a good place to start.
Thanks for the feedback.

Old school battlebox caster morghoul1 is a great place to get your elephants out and trample all those poor souls. He dishes out superb threat ranges helps get your head around the gladiator paradox and grants access to the holy grail of admonishing countercharged bronzeback..
Master Tormentor Morghoul - WB: +30 - Aptimus Marketh - PC: 5 - Bronzeback Titan - PC: 18 (Battlegroup Points Used: 18) - Tiberion - PC: 22 (Battlegroup Points Used: 12) - Titan Sentry - PC: 15 - Cyclops Shaman - PC: 8 - Basilisk Krea - PC: 7
Tyrant Zaadesh - PC: 4 - Titan Sentry - PC: 15 Mortitheurge Willbreaker - PC: 4
Paingiver Beast Handlers - Leader & 5 Grunts: 7

I've been playing a lot competitively lately with makeda and Rasheth and Makeda2 is slowly fading out because the meta has already adjusted to her. She's still quite strong but I'm trying to get rid of her in my pair because she's nearly autowin against Circle (but circle is getting weaker and weaker and few players are using it) and has increasingly bad matchups into other factions.
In my opinion the strongest list you can play right now is Rasheth in Winds of Death. My current version is:
Rasheth -Cyclops Shaman -Cyclops Shaman -Cyclops Raider -Basilisk Krea
Siege Animantarax
Venator Slingers (min) Venator Reivers (max) -Command Attachment Venator Reivers (max) -Command Attachment Venator Cannon Crew (free) Venator Cannon Crew (free) Paingiver Beast Handlers (min)
Venator Dakar (free) Extoller Soulward
I've been spending months to test it before buying all the doubles and in the end I decided it was worth, but I saved some money by converting 6 reivers in 2 cannons and a command attachment because it's expensive. It is really good and fun to play: you can either shoot or melee against high def infantry (carnivore+Dakar makes everyone mat8, 10 under feat) and I'd strongly recommend it as a generalist. I don't think it will be easy to build for you as you should buy some models, so you could try to proxy it and decide if it's worth yourself.
Another promising list is Zaal2 30 immortals. That one requires 30 immortals (with command attachment), 3 ancestral guardians and hakaar. The reason is that a new theme force is on the horizon and it has been spoiled to give 3 free cards (2 ancestral guardian and Hakaar). It already is a good list, so it will only get better in theme.
Makeda 2 is 2x ferox, Tyrant Radheim, 2x Willbreakers, Legends of Halaak, paingivers, orin midwinter, despoiler, krea. Some play molik instead, either is good, I prefer dark shroud for now.
With your models I would recommend a list that I tried some time ago to find a good brick into cygnar and turned out to be quite good all around although a bit skill intensive in some matchups, due to the very limited number of models you have. The trick is that no one dies, ever.
Xerxis1 -Tiberion -Gladiator -Sentry -Agonizer -Krea
Cetratii full -Vorkesh Paingiver beast handlers
This is the bulk, there are still some points and you can replace the sentry if you want. As long as you keep defender's ward on cetratii and everything under krea you should be good into every cygnar list. Cetratii are immune to haley2 spells, don't go KD (so caster agonizer and krea are always out of sight) and rarely die, being 15/24 against every attack. Tiberion and Sentry are there to be arm23 and because you need 2 shield guards for ryan shots (caine3 unit) to prevent casterkill. The remaining points I had filed with orin and extoller because I needed some magical weapons at the time but now I'd put legends and face cryx with Rasheth.
Last but not least, I'd start with Naaresh or Xerxis if I were you. They're the most straightforward casters and are relatively easy to build and play. They're both fun because they can do some serious work themselves (remember Xerxis slams and has beatback!) and complement well your collection as both like beasts and use models you already have. Other that that, Skorne is in a great spot right now and every caster is very viable and competitive, so pick one and try yourself! Welcome on board!
