This is something that I am currently toying around with: [Theme] The Blindwater Congregation (Calaban 1) Calaban, the Grave Walker [+29] - Blackhide Wrastler [16] - Blind Walker [12] - Ironback Spitter [15] Bog Trog Mist Speaker [0(4)] Gatorman Witch Doctor [0(4)] Gatorman Witch Doctor [0(4)] Bog Trog Ambushers (min) [10] Croak Raiders (max) [17] Croak Raiders (max) [17] Sacral Vault [17] The ambushers should help pushing the GF into the middle and the more grouped up they are, the more terrifying the feat turn will be...

First of all Gaston thank you guys for the podcast I have listened to the most recent 4-5 episodes at least twice trying to get the feel for stuff. It's a great listen and I anxiously await the next one. Thanks! Secondly, that is also what I was thinking with regards to caliban. I already one unit of croaks and I think the extra deployment would make up for the benefits you get from brigands. I feel like you want to reach ghost fleet asap and that would help. (This is all theory but I would also like to try that route) I really liked that old wtc list though it looked very cool. How would you build the croak caliban list? I may pick up an additional h it and try it first since I have everything except vault and one unit of croaks.(I'm still pigless at the moment) I had started with just swapping my Brigands for Croaks, never made it quite past that because I couldn't settle on a solo load out just yet. I would 100% proxy the second unit of Croaks before buying them, and even then check eBay. They are not a super common unit in pairs in the meta at the moment, and I tend to look at wargaming like buying a car--it depreciates quickly and there is nothing a coat of paint won't fix. Insofar as Ghost Fleet, realistically you are more concerned about when the Blindwalker and Vault reach them than anything else, as those are your main methods of RFP. Once the unit leaders are handled, Croaks and Brigands should be mostly equitable into that particular match up. Thanks! I am also curious if we can take nyss in the theme now when cid settles. I think they would make the list even better.

I played this tonight for the first time.
War Room Army
Minions - New Army
Theme: The Blindwater Congregation 3 / 3 Free Cards 75 / 75 Army
Calaban, The Grave Walker - WB: +29 - Blind Walker - PC: 12 (Battlegroup Points Used: 12) - Blind Walker - PC: 12 (Battlegroup Points Used: 12) - Blackhide Wrastler - PC: 16 (Battlegroup Points Used: 5)
Sacral Vault - PC: 17 Sacral Vault - PC: 17
Totem Hunter - PC: 0 Feralgeist - PC: 2 Bog Trog Mist Speaker - PC: 0 Gatorman Witch Doctor - PC: 0
Croak Raiders - Leader & 9 Grunts: 17 Gatorman Bokor & Bog Trog Swamp Shamblers - Bokor & 9 Grunts: 11
Not sure how I feel about shamblers in this list.
I had min/max croaks but switched it up. This just murders infantry. Played into issyra in shadows and destroyed, played into pZaal with immortals. Not as good. My dice failed on an assassination attempt that left calaban to the wolves.

The big question I am asking myself: Can Calaban handle Dark Host as well? Seems the obvious drop if Cryx is playing those two lists.

It does infantry clear insanely well. The issue I see with dark host is limited souls for the vaults. But if you camp one sould each they cannot touch you because of soul storm. Calaban feat can get serious work done, and keeps whoever is running host honest because the assassination threat.

I actually think, that is why he is such a great drop into Cryx. He can handle infantry really well, has a strong assassination threat and minions do not have that much issues with Stealth which is the biggest advantage of Dark Host.

Sorry I didn't make my point clear enough: We are talking about 10x Arm20 Bane Rider and a Wraith Engine. My current list is Calaban, double Blindwalker, Wrastler, SV, double Croaks, stuff. I hope I can get another game in against Cryx but I am not really positive about the matchup.

Why shouldn't we be positive about that? We have Parasite, which brings them down to ARM17.
However, I would never play 2 Blindwalkers, but have an Ironback Spitter in the list, which I think is crucial. Otherwise we will have issues saving the Vault of the Desecrators, which are most likely in the list. Some concentrated shooting over 2-3 rounds can bring it down and that might open possibilities for Cryx. I tried the matchup and think, that it is definitely in our favor, but it is definitely not an autowin!

I actually never paid that much attention to the Spitter tbh. Really appreciate the suggestion. It went straight into my list for the HMDz. Have a beer with me there, you are invited!

This is my list, double blind walkers work out well. Today I played this list a few times. My feat turn today I healed a beast for 1, cast 5....FIVE boosted hex blasts, and a bone shaker. And still camped 3.

I am probably the only one, not drinking beer at the HMDs, but I never drink, but we could share a cold softdrink/beer! I really like the Spitter and I think he is great into the Cryx matchup, too. What's your other list? Rask, too?

Could've gone for the Gatorspam but that's not really my style (too one-dimensional for me at least).

I've played two games now with Rask and both have been double wrastler and bullsnapper for battle group. I have seen some use wrastler and a spitter, my question is how well does this work if you pair him with caliban? Rask ends up into most armor skews I'm guessing so I feel like it stinks in that regards but having a gun to get some work done before you get into melee would be great. Especially against pesky solos or ua's.
