For me it's doomy3 mulg+mk in one list in pod. Together with the new runebearer , stone ability and the potential arc node + arcane vortex it seems really strong.
Second list I will try grim1 with his changed Feat + runebearer I think this will offer a good scenario play maybe in our new theme.
Would be interested in your thoughts.
PS: it is really frustrating to plan for a big tournament before cid is life.

I think Mulg + MK might be ok, but I do worry it's even more eggs in 1 basket. Mulg got shot off the table before I feated the last time I played vs Haley2. My opponent rolled fire, but it's still possible. None of this kit helps him stay alive more and when you lose him you're in an even worse position.
Both big UK events in the next 6 months are 3 list so I have a bit more flexibility. Which is good, because we need a list that deals with both Ghost Fleet and Dark Host.
I think currently I'm looking at Doomy3 (Locked in) and then 2 of: - Grissel2 - Gunnbjorn - Madrak 2 - Grim2
I basically need one list to play into Ghost Fleet and Dark Host and 1 list to play into khador. It would also be nice if one of the lists was Grim2 so I can handle Cats.
I'd definitely consider Grim1 as soon as he's changed. I ran the War Wagon last night with Grim2 into Dark Host it seemed REALLY REALLY strong, like most of Kriel Company is bad, but the War Wagon makes it absolutely worth it.

Could a Slag Troll Spam work in a three list format?

Could a Slag Troll Spam work in a three list format? Maybe, Would that be specifically to counter Khador Jack Spam?
It's not really a thing in the UK (though Old Witch 2 might become a thing) I'd like to play Doomy3 into one of these lists before I looked for a solution.
I'd also be super concerned with list chicken.

I am not sure about grim2 vs cats or cryx. Shooting lists vs cats are not the wax to go cause even with Mortality cats could be at def15. (Deflection+krea).
Grim1 s Feat shut down the def Vs cats and they are not allowed to charge and -3 speed is really good.

What would Madrak2 look like? B. I'd probably start from Jason Flanzer's list and see how viable it is:
Madrak 2 (Band of Heroes) - Mauler - Mauler Min Stone + UA Max Fennblades + UA Max Fennblades + UA Min Champions Min Warders Chronicler Fell Caller hero.
Never played it but Flanzer swears by it.

I would think SotN with double Raiders, HHH, a unit of Bears and a small BG?

In my opinion grim1 would be really good with a mixed arm list.
For battlegroup I would consider a bomber perhaps our new swift hunter beast.
For units I would go for a mixture of our new and old stuff depending on our current meta.
Depending on the final version of theme lists. I would consider a theme.

I will play this list at a big tournament in a few weeks. I think it's one of our best shots to handle gf and cats.

I played a SotN list against a Cygnar spam list (8 Hammersmiths with Darius) yesterday. The scenario was Spread the Net and that was an absolute nightmare for him. Our PoD lists are usually not quite THAT bad at contesting, but the "i spam heavies" lists will indeed have a hard time in many scenarios. I think a decent solution is to have one PoD list that you think is strong in the "dead" scenarios and have another list that is more of a dedicated scenario drop that is sort of an "all comers" list. By tailoring the second list a little bit against ghost fleet i think i can easily get a decent pairing. Not sure that adding lots of Runeshapers to a PoD list will make for a strong list in any match up, and it still will be pretty damned bad at scenario anyway... I was already starting to think much the same, and I think I have a prototype already. I still need to practice with Gunny and really learn how to play him, and he's probably a better choice for this, but I was playing Borka 2 in the CID but really just for fun when I realized that this might actually be pretty strong as an "all-comers" scenario list. I should start a new thread for it.

Played my Doomy3 list last night into the Spread the net scenario.
Runebearer Mulg Mauler Earthborn Bomber Bouncer Axer Min Stone + UA 2 free Shamans & free whelps
Opponent had striker 1 with 2 Defenders, 2 storm striders & and a ton of lights. Long and short of it is shaman’s are terrible objective runners. You can either have them safe behind clouds and irrelevant, or relevant and flapping in the breeze. I had one on a hill and in a cloud, the other behind cover and both got snipped out. I suggested AD on these guys in the CID, but it never seemed to get the developers notice.
Storm striders seem like the bane of the Krielstones existence. Killing the majority of the scribes meant I had to brick up, and promptly lost on scenario.
I could have positioned better, but that scenario felt really rough for my beast brick. Max stone with the new “awaken” ability seems like it would make a huge difference. Pretty sure I’ll be bumping it up to max in a lot of list once CID stuff goes live.
Also on the docket of things to heavily consider, are the Storm Troll and Night Troll. I’m having a hell of a time into the Cygnar match-up. As the OP has said in many threads/posts, the Storm Troll is gold here. Having a stealth light beast to contest, seems really appealing right now. Plus, I think he’s fairly solid for only 7pts.
