I seems to see a good amount of threads discussing books/lore/story. Where can I find these books and which ones should I get first? I remember back in MK1 I just read the rule books for fluff.

Well, yeah, most of the lore/fluff is contained in the MkI/Mk II army books. The new No Quarter Prime will collect all the storyline beats from those books into something more easily digestible (or so they say). After that, the storyline is mostly in novels.
Specifically leading into Mark III, the most important ones are Wrath of the Dragonfather, Blood of Kings, and Acts of War I and II (Flashpoint and Aftershock).
Hellslingers Volume 1 is about how Caine2 post Flashpoint becomes Caine3, and Godless is about the current situation of the Protectorate with Tristan Durant as the main viewpoint.

You can find the printed copies of the books from both the PP store and Amazon. The digital versions can be purchased here: skullislandx.com/As said by Galrohir, most of the fluff was in the old army books, but since few years they started to make novels and novellas about varius characters or events. Where to start depends totally on what you are looking for. There are books following the deeds of the various factions, as well as books following on Cygnar and Mercenaries that in general touch other factions and advance the story like that. If you are interested in the major events of the MK2/MK3 edition change, after the MK2 army books I would read this: 1) Wrath of the Dragonfather (end of the Athanc/Kruegar saga and infos on the Dragons whereabouts) 2) Blood of Kings (end of Magnus/Vinter/Julius saga and Cygnar kingdom whereabouts, end of MK2) 3) Act of War I and II (Flashpoint and Aftershock), (beginning of MK3, start of the Llael invasion saga) 4) Godless (Protectorate whereabouts and beginning of Tristan Saga). Those four are the ones that have biggest repercussions on the setting. Hellslinger as said can be read after Flashpoint to see how Caine leaves Cygnar for a Merc life. The recent "Wicked Ways", also, is the start of the Strangelight saga, and gives some insights on how Grymkin were bringed to this world by the Old Witch. If you are interested in a particular faction whereabout, tell us and we wil point out what books address it more and in what order they should be read.

I've enjoyed a lot of the stories and novels on their Skull Island expeditions site. Someone linked it a couple posts up, or else I would.
A word of warning though, it seems like the majority of stories on there are still Cygnar, or Cygnar affiliated Mercenary centric. The diversity looks to be improving a bit lately, but if your interests stray too far away from that, you may be disappointed.
