Is there such thing as a gator/croak gunline in the Blindwater theme? Or do I need to convert some Farrow to look like lizards? (not a fan of pigs)
I was thinking something like double Spitter, double croak, 2 Mist speaker, croak hunters, Victor. Is out of theme better?

Barney could make this happen for sure. I have croaks and brigands in my barney gunline. But i also have a wrastler for some serious armor cracking if i need it, and a couple croak hunters. A whole unit of croaks fits into a swap pit so they can be safely delivered. The second unit maybe not so much. Mist speakers for guidance?

Double spitters, vaults, and croak raiders with Calaban or Barnabas. Calaban would be better against armor, Barnabas would be better against DEF spam. Croak raiders fuel the vaults, but you might want to make one of them a min unit to fit in a blind walker in Calaban's case. Season to taste with mist speakers, croak hunters, trawlers, or witch doctors (sac strike hits automatically, which can be nice).

Yeah pretty much this - though Rask can also run a mean gun line. in Steamroller games with zones, killboxes, flags, objectives etc it is VERY important on where you position stuff and more often then not the scenario forces you away from the back of your board edge and towards a more centre field which is not a bad thing at all. With that in mind a gunline usually only gets 1 or 2 turns of good shooting before finding itself in melee since quite a few things can charge the same range as you can shoot. So with this in mind a good gunline needs a few things to work effectively and get the most out of those 1 or 2 turns of sweet shooting bliss. 1 - more accurately hit, you hit more you hurt more - simples. Barnabas' feat is the king of this as you will be hitting any target on anything but double 1 assuming it isnt amphibious. 2- do more damage - anything that makes the hits you score count for more is also great - this is more the domain of Calaban as Parasite -3 ARM is brutal and suddenly brigands with prey and croaks raiders with oil are looking at effective POW 17 which all types of ouch with 10/20 shots flying out - even Gargossals have to be a bit wary of that kind of firepower. 3 - be able to hit everything - don't want stealth, clouds, incorporeal, concealment etc ruining your day so you might need a few tricks to get around that. Mist speaker comes to mind as can give out eyeless sight and magic to a single model (Spitter) so you can maximise damage. Also running a feralgeist into a spread out stealthed skirmish unit and then shooting it with a blast weapon usually nets more hits then shooting a spaced out enemy model. Sacral vault is also pretty handy in this category. 4- MOAR shots - if you can delay your opponent for a turn so you can get another round of shooting in that has almost doubled your sweet shooting - this is why Rask can be good for a gunline as his feat can let you get close enough to maximise shooting and then delay them from charging you for another turn letting you have another go before they are ontop of you. 5- Escape plan - if your main purpose is shooting then how to stay out of combat longer? be it hog wild to shoot and retreat, ghost walk from Jaga Jaga or my favourite using spitters to shoot into combat with croak raiders who are immune to the damage to kill the opponent and free them up. sure they is some more pointers for gunline armies, but that prob covers the basics. This is also why Barnabas is sooo soo good against gunline armie as swamp pits mean that they can't hit everything, which means they are doing less damage and obviously not hitting accurately (as can't hit) and it doesn't matter if they have more shots your in a swamp pit and that can mess up their escape plan. NO SHOOTING in the game ignores swamp pits the only thing that is close is running one of their models in the back and shooting it with a blast weapon but even that means it is hitting you at half strength. Of course spells can wreck models in swamp pits so something to watch out for.

Or do I need to convert some Farrow to look like lizards? This is an awesome idea. I've tried to find someone who sells separate lizard/snake heads but haven't found any. Ideas, anyone?

I had an idea to convert some bog trogs into brigands by giving them guns. That way I could give them the order "Trog Wild".

Maybe sculpt some pig skins to hang on their shoulders?

Maybe sculpt some pig skins to hang on their shoulders? As long as you were clear what they were and they had the right weapons, I'd allow it. You could mark their bases "Brigands" to be extra clear.
