I want to know what the top Legion players are running. As in, the ones that score well at tournaments. I'm sure there's an easier place to find this but my search-fu is weak.
Since I see Neutralyze is here... what are you running these days?

Hrmm Chris Orr was running Thags1 w/ Sacral Vault and double Hellmouth. I assume that was intended to do the trick of getting souls and corpses from the tentacles. But that was changed in an Errata right? Aren't tentacles soulless? Did he submit this list before that errata dropped or is there another trick with that list he was utilizing?

I talked to Chris about it. He said that it continues to be a good list despite the lack of double-synergy that used to exist.

what does the sacral vault do for that many points? It has a decent gun, and single wound cant kill it, but is that much an issue for another heavy that can be brought back? Maybe hide thagrosh behind is way safer is the reasoning.

Don't quote me on this I haven't tried it but Jake and Brian Marino have both been using this list. Jake made it first and has said in the legion forum that it helps in the anti magic game such as the haleys. It helps into the control warcasters. Specifically how I am not sure I haven't used it yet. Post in the Facebook forum and one of them might answer you quicker. I know Brian usually responds quickly.

Because it can use tokens to cancel spells that target something within a few inches of it (3 I think).

Remember the Vault generates its own Souls if it has none so it's essentially immune to single wound melee infantry. It has a great eyeless sight gun, anti-spell tech and can kill multiple models in a turn if the model it takes over can kill a friendly.

Thags1 has problem with two things, heavy control casters and high pow, weapon master dude spam. The vault control single wound infantry without issues, has RFP mechanic to double dip killing guys and finally can prevent spells from messing up your day. The list use to struggle bs denny1 or anything that could put an upkeep on your model and you could never get it off. Now you can be protected behind a giant, high armor fortress that protects your army. Even with the loss of souls from Hell mouth the list gains souls from enemy Models or pot ladies. Still very viable and powerful.

Thanks guys (especially Neutralyze). I've been having trouble making lists that are competitive in tournaments, so I'm trying to shake myself of the Mk2 mindset by looking at what has been proven to work.

Which reminds me... should we do a lists sub-forum like ye ole PP forums from the days of yore? A specific area for peer-reviewing your lists.
