I just had to get it out there.
Everyone denigrates the sculpt, I think it is awesome.
Big hands, huge sword, huge pauldrons and a smaller head dominate the sculpt, as seen from tabletop, whether from front or back. You see a big authoritative figure, and a jumbled inhuman body below that you have to look carefully to work out what is what. It is exactly what good art is, with a general impression that draws you in and makes you discern the finer points, except it does it in a new way. The general impression is the top of the mini, and the finer points is the body, yes it is centauroid, but it is draconic with strang elimb dimensions, and ot top of it it is armored, so it keeps you drawn in. (traditional art would be the composition that makes the general impression and the details that are the finer points, this is nicely reflected in Kallus, no superfluos details, no rags that flutter in the wind or excessive chains and amulets, just the armor).
It has all the majesty of a nobleman on a rampart horse, except there is no horse head to draw off attention from the rider.
I'd say the major source of negativity the mini got is that it does not photograph that well, and the disproporton of the head vs body leaves it lacking in a photo, while seeing it live it creates an impression of greatness of the mini, since the illusion is not "small head", rather, "overwhelming body".
I hope Chosen of EB get results half as good as Kallus.
Rant over.

I just got Kallus2, and while I like the sculpt, it does not photograph well.

I just got Kallus2, and while I like the sculpt, it does not photograph well. I find the same prob with the extreme mauler. Much more impressive in person.
