Hello,
Anyone notice the cryx plastic war jack boxes in release schedule? A reaper, corruptor, malice box A slayer, Erebus box
I'm a bit confused by this, are the resculpts to differentiate them more? Eg will we be able to add extra details such as chemical tanks to corruptor?
Could be cool if these sprues are included. Otherwise what is the point?

Looks to me like they just wanted something to pack the character kits with and didn't want to include both in the same box?

If they are in the new plastic, that would be pretty great.

The new plastic sprues, like the Seether/Inflictor kit. Would be super nice. I probably won't be buying this kit (though maybe Malice..), I've already got...uh...3 metal slayers, Erebus, one plastic reaper, one plastic reaper I was considering turning into malice, and a corruptor... ....yeah I go a little 'jack nutty.

I was surprised to see those releases as well, as they just made the 3 jack box kit not too long ago. It wont be buying them as I already have at least one of each of those and really don't do spam lists. Variety is spice of unlife...here all week! It feels silly not to play in theme and our themes really want us to play units and it seems crab jacks.

I would like to see unique sculpts for Erebus and Malice, rather than packaging them as part of a kit. I suppose it's nice for new players, but I've already got mine assembled.

Old kits loadouts were much better. I can only use one characters jack. But each time I buy a new slayer chasis I want to be able to magnetize it and use all 3 options.
Normally I hate it when people say this type of things, but this seems like cash grab so that people have to buy more models instead of making it easy to magnetize.

I think that depends on if it's repackaging, or if it's new sculpts/material.

I have no information, this is just me making assumptions and spitballing:
I'm betting that the kits are injection molded plastic with the chassis being common between the two, so that there is the possibility to magnetize.
I'd also imagine that PP did not want to release it as two separate kits, the preferable goal would be to have 1 kit to achieve economies of scale and maximize sku reduction. They probably could not fit all of the parts onto a small enough number of sprues and fit it all into a common-sized box. Since a bigger, specially sized box would be cost-prohibitive (and you could only fit 1 on a common peg-board display hook) they probably decided to split the 5 designs among 2 different boxes that would have roughly equal sales volume.
There's also a counter-argument to the all-in-one plan worth considering: while there are those of us who are good at magnetizing and making our warjacks modular, there are those of us who are not. Some of those who are not good with magnets and just buy the kit to make *one* design would complain about all of the excess parts that they have as garbage. They get on the internet to "air their concerns" and then all of a sudden a couple of the more environmentally concerned among them sound like a Romanian Riot - pitchforks, torches, battering rams, people yelling "Kill the monster!" - you get the idea.
I don't think it is a cash grab in regards to magnetizing models, I think it is how they have to go about getting rid of a couple of very slow selling sku. Evolution of their product within their business model. Nothing more, nothing less.

An offtopic, for sure, but I REALLY hope it means new basic heavy kit for Convergence as well. By God they need a remake - the digusting quality of Invertor/Monitor/Cypher kit was once the thing that stopped me from starting CoC.
