I for one am glad to see Leylines continue. But I don't see a place to discuss it on Ghost Dice. Here's a link to the section: www.ghost-dice.com/the-leyline/I'm especially excited for the new format. Dan, Trent, and Kurt proposed focusing on a caster for a month. The target is 2 podcasts, an initial thoughts episode and a follow up. If anyone wants to correct me please do so. 6/30 Morvhana1 7/20 Morvhana2 10/14 Kaya2

I tried what I called a hightlights list.
Morvhana1 Woldwrath Wilder full Reeves + UA Sentry Stones -Ogrun Bokur Vault Gaterman Bokur and Shamblers Lanyssa
So Reeves, Wrath, and the green machine all in one. This let me try all the mechanics and see which one I liked.
I played against Ret
Thyron Banshee Chimera Fane Knight Guardian Elowuyr Swordsmen + Souless Spears of Syrah + Eryss + Soulless Artificer Lyss Healer Narn Fane Knight Skaryth Voidtracer
I wasn't too excited for the match, as there is a lot of ranged defense. There was a forest in the middle and it was hard to unpack on my side of the board. I went in trying to delay and bait an assassination run.
Notes: I really wanted to go second. My opponent's counter deployment really hurt my chances for success. I thought 2 units and 2 huge bases was hard to unpack. That might be because I don't use huge bases much. Stacking your collection pieces is good, but hard. I did not collect as much as I should have. The Banshee was flug in and the Wailing really hurt my Gatorman Bokur. Didn't have anything to deal with a heavy in my face.
Next try: I liked the green machine (Vault + Shamblers + Morv means 3 things collected for 1 death). The Gatorman Bokur and Lanyssa can both benefit from Telemetry on the Vault, so I'm going to make that my first core.
Morvahna1 Brennos Feral full Reeves + UA Reeve Hunter War Wolf x2 Vault Gatorman Bokur and Shamblers Lanyssa

I played the Brennos list into
Zakaar Chiron Drake Krea Anamantrix Venators solos (please excuse my Skorne spelling)
The ease of access to the Krea animus did not help my ranged heavy list attrition. there were no targets to melee and with no Gallows for Eruption of Life, I found it difficult to protect an advance. Feral and Brennos both could not take down the Anamantrix under feat.
My meta seems to tech anti-ranged, but I still don't think there is much to the Green Machine. New list to come.
Comments welcome, or your own pMorv experience.

I'm late to the party but have you tired trackers and bloodweavers with pmorv? I have the same problems with people having a lot of anti shooting tech so when I do get to shoot I try to make it pretty good with weapon masters.
I like bloodweavers a lot. Recently I've been taking skinwalkers and two squads of the ladies. People kinda ignore them since it takes a bit of effort to deal with em and by the time they can I've got some use outta them.
Without good armor cracking infantry I'm just having a hard time though. Maybe this plus 2 str to wolds from stone shaper could help. Who knows what doors wolds could open for her.
Let me know how morv2 goes. They are my favorite circle casters. I don't care how cool Mac makes mohsar sound, pmorv is awesome.

I tried the Bones list twice.
Game 1 Zadesh Extoller Theme Sentry, Archidon, Glad, Rhino, scarabs, Shaman, 1 extoller boat.
I went fist for position, but his melee theat is higher than my ranged, and he brings clouds. So that was bad. I killed the scarabs and the agonizer with just the Fulcum fire and Lightning Strike, so that did better than I though.
Game 2 Axis Inverter Cyphor, Conservator, diffuser Obstructors, reductors
Went 2nd, Top of 3 he charged in and barely took out the WW (I didn't know about Beacon). still stuck in but it was over. Flame Strike did amazing work again against the Obstructors.
Playing without a feat did not seem very fun. I could have done better, but scenario presence was lacking.

Tried the Wild Hunt list against:
Tanith Bones, Guardian, Warden, Loki, 2 wyrds, Fulcrum, 2 Sentry
picked second and side without house to deploy well. Fog of War was great against Wyrds and Assault with tracker took out Senty stone. Didn't protect from Loki and almost lost a pureblood. kept up on attrition and Control points to win.
I really wanted a full unit of Reeves but reduced for Reeve Hunter. going to look how I can get that back.

I adjusted the list: Reeve Hunter and Warwolf out, max Reeves in.
played against CoC. Axis, Inverter, Conservator, Cypher, Diffuser, peforators boat, obstructors
Chose second and putting axis list in lots of terrain. Axis feated defensively on top of 2. I backed off while shooting the Conservator dead. He alpha'ed into my skinwalkers and took a point, but I got back in the zones and feated. I had an attrition advantage, but it got late and figured I clocked, so I conceded.
I like the list more the second time, but miss the Reeve Hunter. I changed the flank I was planning to ambush, and it made Morraig very out of place. may have to play him centrally

Still playing with max Reeves
Xerxis Immortal theme - 2 units, 2 guardians, Hakaar, Tiberion, Bronzeback, Guardian
I picked second, house in the middle. I didn't understand Lurch threats with Tiberion right away and lost a Pureblood top of 2. I ambushed on the heavier side, backed up the battlegroup, and scored. Shooting took Tibs below half. I dug myself out for the next 2 turns, staying 1 ahead. Until, that is, I forgot to Reposition with Morv2 and left her in heavy charge range.
I'm very impressed with the ability of the list, and it takes people by surprise.

I tried 3 heavies for the Morv2 list.
Morv2 Brennos Stalker Pureblood Reeves max +UA Skinwalkers max + UA Wolves max + UA Stones
I faced Xerxis2 WarHost with Hydra, Krea, Razorworm, 2x Turtles, Zakaar1 with Agonizer, Krea. Board was recon with house in middle of one zone and forest in other.
He won the roll and picked first. I picked where I could use the house to hide more. Siege to my right, Most all others to left. Xerxis rushes at Skinwalkers turn 2 but Arcane Suppression made him empty, left siege aimed and shot. I ambushed left, killed Siege with Wolves, almost killed Xerxis and feated to put stuff in between. repeated for turn 3 and killed him bottom of 3 with a Reeves CRA.

Do you think you might be able to talk specifically about some the things you keep in mind when building a Morvahna1 list? And maybe some of the synergies or tactics you use on the battlefield?

Sorry fauste, but I didn't play her much so I am not a great authority here.

A bit of a delay, but Kaya2 episode dropped 10/14. I'm also late here.
I was working with a Wrongeye list, and my friend suggested that Force Evolution would stack his ability even higher. So this is going to be my first theme going into this caster. Stealth on the battlegroup and high defense when you come at me is the questions I'm asking, and hopefully I can answer high ARM. First list:
Kaya2, Call of the Wild Feral, Shadowhorn, Stalker, Argus, Riphorn, Scarsfell Wilder, Wayfarer Shifting Stones x2 Wrongeye and Snapjaw
I played the list into a Grymkin Dark Menagerie list and it felt pretty good. The Scarsfell was high DEF, but I didn't feel I could turn it on and make it very effective without Flank.
