I know it's been awhile, but I just noticed that the OTC Results have been posted. Congratulations to Francesco's Angels! So, does anyone who played there want to comment on the experience? Want to report on any fun/interesting games? Comments on the meta? Is Una2 playable still?

I was captain of Canadian Politeness. We did Firetrucking terrible this year and this was my worst tournament showing ever. The fault is all my own for having a shitty second list. Should have stuck with PoM.
It also doesn't help when your first game is Francesco's Angels.
I will try and do a write up after work. All in all the even was great. It's great to see people you only see at these kind of events and it has caused a paradigm shift in my list construction and how I approach matchups now.

OTC was a blast. I hated my list pair. I've always hated having lists lock in so far ahead that inevitably some ruling or errata screws up everyone's lists. For me it was just that theme forces came out a week or 2 before list lock so I took lists I hadn't actually played. Lol. Derp. Because of the team format I was still able to get into some match-ups my pairing can handle. My record was 3-1 for the day and I had a ton of great games. Even the one I lost. Our team went 3-1 as well. We ended up 9th after tie breakers. Side Note: Doesn't anyone else think that Total team wins is a crap tiebreaker for these events. It's kinda like the "anti-Strength of schedule" in that if you have an easy run and play against bad teams and sweep them you get better tiebreakers than a team that had tougher match-ups and went 3-2 every round. Thoughts? We did a podcast on it. Check it out! combosmite.wordpress.com/2017/03/06/podcast-148-ontario-team-championships-2017/

I was with the SWORM team playing Circle. I had a lot of fun. I played Una twice and eKreuger twice. My Una2 games weren't that terrible. You have to play her further up field than before. Having the Wilder help extend that control. I won on Assassination against 3Gaspy, and failed an assassination on Karchev with her leaving him on 2 boxes (dice). I'd safely say she's still playable, but not in the Spam list.

Thanks for the podcast Nick. I was pretty busy that day and did not make it over to say thanks for the podcast and Thursday night games. I will grab you guys a beverage at the SOO. I'll be sending more jank PoM lists for the stream soon.

It seems like she still has game - possibly losing to bad dice on that second assassination run.

I had to go all in with 4 birds and missed the Pureblood assault spray needing 7s to hit on boosted dice. You have to plan on when and where you'll fight, or you'll get rolled. The feat is now pure alpha strike. The one thing is that people forget that the lights can slam bigger bases. I won my cryx game due to that.

I was on Francesco's Angels. Had an awesome time! Really love the team events.
Played B1 all 5 rounds which was surprising as Vlad2 is my go to. 1 of them into 2una and honestly and no point did I feel threatened by her.

Should be noted that the actual stats breakdown from the event (faction win/loss, caster win/loss etc etc) is being worked on. So that should be out soon hopefully

That event was fun as weiners. I had a great time playing against the opponents I got paired up into.
