I think the reason is players themselves. All the powerplayers are going back into other - more tactically challenging - factions. Nevertheless the faction is not underrepresented. Lets have a look at top 10 teams. 1 - england lions 3-1 2 - england roses 1-3 (1 lost mirror) 3 - walsall 1-3 4 - good, bad... 4-0 5 - good, bad... 0-4 - drnorbert can you comment on that? 6 - coalition of chaos 2-2 (1 lost mirror) 7 - Powerfist gaming 2-2 (2 won mirrors, 1 lost mirror) So 6 top teams of 10 had khador players in. The result (both total and discounting mirrors) is below average but clearly not something very disappointing. I agree to the opinion that on average khador has a prety defined place in paring process as an arm skew. And lists like we see in norbert's report are quite rare. In team play this is usefull to simplify the paring process and add reliability. Some opponents just can't handle the arm skew and those that can are still challenged much. Al in all the 34% is quite expected from my PoV. 1) Better players are out of faction 2) The faction is still quite popular 3) On top tables it is represented as skews that do not perform very peculiarly

My teammate who also was playing Khador doesn't get to play much and was also just wanted to try our Malakov 2, so that probably explains his results.

Also it doesn't help that according to the german players there is just no good Khador player in their roster (or with enough skill to play ETC/WTC) And they won the event.

Unlikely but if you win with triple skorne you may be sadistic enough ( and good enough)

Germans have an interesting sense of humour
But seriously, who goes to a tournament and says "I need to bring a Skorne drop."
You just don't.

I would like to see those Skorne lists. Did they double or triple up on lists? Because I wasn't aware of there being more than three viable Skorne lists currently...

I don't want to sound arrogant or anything, but the german scene is pretty aware that skorne is a vialbe faction atm. But to be fair it took us a bit by suprise too because our WTC teams keep largely to themselfs pre WTC, so the first time we saw it was on one of the bigger German tournaments (around 120 people) where we had a Skorne Mirror Match in the Finals. Granted those 2 finalists are pretty good players but still.
Skorne suffers a bit from the Cryx syndrome. Winds of Death is not well liked because it doesn't feel "skorne" but is acutally pretty good.
To the acutal Lists it were indeed 6 diffrent ones. 3 Times WoD with Rashet, Morghul and Hexi2 with Makeda2, Mordikaar and Naaresh
The Makeda List weng 4-0 the other 2 went 3-1 I think
So yes Skorne is a real threat but not one that sees a lot of play.

I believe Discount Games Inc has the lists up. I definitely saw a picture of all of them up on Twitter.

Winds of Death isn't a bad theme, especially now with the updated Animanterax. But having only one theme is kinda limiting when most factions are now playing purely in theme.

Considering all Skorne players ended with a winning record, and that you can't repeat casters across the team, it seems there are at least 6 viable lists

I think their beasts need a theme. They struggle a bit without free points for support or solo Hunters.
But if they get a Preatorian theme I am really afraid of how much better their makeda cats list will become.
And to be quite honest the list is already very strong

So I was the khador representative for our club (Merseyside Mammoths) and this was my first major event. Ive been to 3 SR's before this just to give it some context and I got my arse handed to me all weekend! Didn't win a game all weekend. I was however thrown under the bus 3 out of the 4 rounds playing into tough lists made worse by the fact i'd never played into them before.
So I definitely brought down our win rate (sorry khadorans) but as a team we went 2/2 which is not so bad.
Just for reference my pairing was Zerk1 in legion of steel and Vlad2 using the now net list (I swear I was running it before I knew it was a net list).

Well I hope you still enjoyed it and learned some things from the tournament. And don't worry we Khadorans have nothing against beeing underdogs

Curious to hear what the Vlad 2 net list is that you are referring to.
