So, I have a hankering to try out Scaverous, but I'm still looking for a build that seems right for me. I've considered running him in the Bane theme (hopefully dropping soon!) with the following:
Cryx Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Dark Host
!!! You are using a pre-release theme.
(Scaverous 1) Lord Exhumator Scaverous [+27] - Deathripper [6] - Desecrator [14] - Ripjaw [7] - Skarlock Thrall [0(4)] Bane Lord Tartarus [0(6)] Darragh Wrathe [9] Bane Knights (max) [15] Bane Riders (max) [20] Bane Warriors (max) [16] - Bane Warrior Officer & Standard [0(5)] Wraith Engine [15]
I'm not sure if running him in theme is the best idea, however. I know that he will run well out of theme with Wrong Eye & Snapjaw, Erebus and Satyxis Raiders (for DEF skew under Star Crossed, and also to have Raiders as Soul Harvester targets), and Croe's Cutthroats. I haven't come up with a list a like the look of with these elements, however.
I'm guessing he's also happy with Deathjack (for more TK fun) or a beater like Barathrum to help crack armor if he's not bringing Banes to complement Feast of Worms for armor reduction. Darragh Wrathe might also be nice for feat turn and to help swing armor.
So, any advice from the experts? Any lists you've enjoyed and had success with? Any more suggestions?

Seems like a solid list. You may want to downgrade the Ripjaw to a Deathripper and use the spare point to get a soul trapper, just for an alternate source of souls.

I'd try to find a way to get Erebus in there. Scavie needs them souls.

Erebus is allowed in all theme forces with Scaverous thanks to the Warjack bond rules. I personally prefer running him out of theme because I don't think any of the current theme benefits are worth giving up Wrong Eye or Croe, but if I was going to play Scaverous in theme Dark Host would be the theme to play him in. Personally in Dark Host I'd want 2 units of Warriors and 1 unit of Riders or Knights. Both the Riders & Knights really want Death Ward, and the unit that doesn't get it is going to end up pretty sad & a prime target.

As someone who plays him as my primary caster I much prefer him out of theme. He loses too many tricks that I tend to rely on/like for the benefit of moar banez. In all honesty, I found every game I played with the bane theme to be incredibly boring, so bear that in mind.

Cryptix - I take your point. I should squeeze Erebus in there, if I'm going to try run Scavie in Dark Host. Deller & Svirfneblin - I was worried that playing him in theme would be too restrictive for his style. What lists have you guys enjoyed with him out of theme? I must say, I do like the idea of running him with Wrong Eye & Snapjaw and Croe's seem like a great fit. What else do you like to take with him? I've tried putting together a list, but I'm struggling with what to include with the points I get.

In all honesty, I found every game I played with the bane theme to be incredibly boring, so bear that in mind. i was really scared of this. vet leader on blt lends itself to this. it removes and interaction. are banes suppose to be bricky? theyre slow enough. i feel like there needs to be a ranged option. although someone will say, but riders are as fast as raiders!! (shrugs)

Well, Pagani has leaked that Banes are up for new releases soon. You'll have to ask Nyxu for a source.

The list I've played the most with Scaverous is:
Lord Exhumator Scaverous - WJ: +27 - The Withershadow Combine - Maelovus, Admonia & Tremulus: 9 - Deathripper - PC: 6 (Battlegroup Points Used: 6) - Deathripper - PC: 6 (Battlegroup Points Used: 6) - Erebus - PC: 16 (Battlegroup Points Used: 15)
Warwitch Siren - PC: 4 Machine Wraith - PC: 2 Machine Wraith - PC: 2 Soul Trapper - PC: 1 Ragman - PC: 4 Wrong Eye - Wrong Eye & Snapjaw: 17 - Snapjaw Satyxis Raiders - Leader & 9 Grunts: 16 - Satyxis Raider Sea Witch - PC: 3 Croe's Cutthroats - Leader & 9 Grunts: 16
Personally the Siren & Soul Trapper are filler and could be anything really, I just prefer the Siren for the few cases where Erebus or an Arc Node I need gets disrupted. Since I'm not bringing any of Cryx's Dark Shroud sources I have Ragman for the extra Armor swing. Now that the CID is over and the changes are out I'd also like to try out:
Lord Exhumator Scaverous - WJ: +27 - The Withershadow Combine - Maelovus, Admonia & Tremulus: 9 - Deathripper - PC: 6 (Battlegroup Points Used: 6) - Deathripper - PC: 6 (Battlegroup Points Used: 6) - Erebus - PC: 16 (Battlegroup Points Used: 15) Wraith Engine - PC: 15 Necrotech - PC: 2 Wrong Eye - Wrong Eye & Snapjaw: 17 - Snapjaw Bane Knights - Leader & 9 Grunts: 15 Croe's Cutthroats - Leader & 9 Grunts: 16
Bane Knights are 4 points cheaper than Satyxis Raiders and are in my opinion a lot harder to remove in this list with the trade off of being much slower. We get to drop Ragman, Siren, & the Machine Wraiths, and using the extra 4 points for a Wraith Engine which makes us Wraiths, brings Dark Shroud, and buffs the Armor of our caster & Banes. This module is looks to be just as resistant against shooting with Raiders dying to any accurate guns & Banes dying to high powered guns, but high powered shots going into Banes is great because that means they're not going at Scaverous, Erebus, or the Wraith Engine. I think the Bane Knight version might be better, but I'll have to see it on the table first.
Either way the core army of 2 Arc Node, Wrong Eye, Croe, Erebus has been so good for me that they'd have to release a theme force specifically built around Scaverous for me to really consider dropping Croe & the Gators. Backstab + Telekenisis & Star-Crossed + Knowledge of the Damned + Erebus are just extremely powerful and very hard for me to pass up.

I'm personally hoping the pirate theme force allows mercenaries/minions so I can bring Wrong Eye with my double Satyxis build.

I would recommended listening to the most recent episode of the 'Chasing the Dragonfather' podcast, they touch upon Scaverous
