The spell Frost Field reads thus …
Target friendly Faction model/unit gains Chiller. Models are not affected while out of formation. (While within 2” on a model with Chiller, enemy models suffer -2 DEF unless they have Immunity: Cold.)
Target friendly Faction model/unit gains Chiller.
Meaning … Any friendly Faction model or friendly Faction unit can gain Frost Field aka Chiller.
Models are not affected while out of formation.
Meaning … Any model(s) within the unit that are out of formation do not gain Chiller.
While within 2” on a model with Chiller, enemy models suffer -2 DEF unless they have Immunity: Cold.
Meaning … Enemy model(s) without Cold Immunity and will suffer a -2 DEF from Frost Field/Chiller if said enemy model(s) are with 2” away or closer in distance from a model/unit with the spell Frost Field/Chiller on it.
Question: Can other friendly models take advantage of enemy models that suffer from Chiller (-2 DEF)?
Example: Say a Reak with Frost Field makes a full advance and then makes a Bounding Leap into the middle of a full unit of Gun Mages. All 6 Gun Mages are within 2” of the Reak and thus all suffer from Frost Field/Chiller. Then let’s say the Reak has bad luck and misses on all of its attacks. After the Reak’s activation are the Gun Mages still suffering a -2 DEF from Frost Field/Chiller? Can friendly models/units take advantage of the Gun Mages suffer from Frost Field/Chiller? Could for example Blighted Nyss Archers or Farrow Brigands engage the enemy/Gun Mages suffering from Frost Field/Chiller with melee or ranged attacks?
