I'm definitely enjoying the AFG as it feels like a solid ranged damage piece to justify its cost along with some healthy utility, I will be putting mine on the battlefield for the first time in a LONG time.

The new and improved Wraith Engine is pretty solid. It's a strong support piece, it takes effort to remove, and it can do serious damage to a heavy (and debuff it for a finishing blow). I really like it and I think it's completely worth 15 points. Incorporeal means it will get trashed in certain matchups pretty easily, and make other matchups hellish for an opponent lacking magic weapons, but it feels like it will be useful in most games. I really dig the changes to the Necrosurgeon--veteran leader seemed awkward, so I'm glad they dropped it, and letting it bring back Carrions and Biles (and even its stitch thralls) is a great, flavourful change. I kinda wish they'd expanded that to the Sepulcher, honestly, but what can you do. Brutes having 1" reach is just a lovely intuitive little bonus. In general it seems like Cryx's infantry has gotten a big leg up and become much more viable. If Ghost Fleet is toned down a bit (and maybe other themes will be too...), there might be some serious competition. People have been underwhelmed by the new Bane Knights, but I think they're underrated in this new form. They'll still die in droves to snipers and melee infantry, but I think a debuff faction can really leverage infantry with staying power. I think Skarre 1 still likes them, though not nearly as much as back in the day, of course. I still think the new Throne of Everblight is a little cheap for its durability + mobility + ability to wipe out an entire unit, but I suspect Legion players will still be reluctant to use it, for some reason. Ghost Fleet doesn't need to be toned down for Banes and Thralls to see play, they're going to see play now regardless. Necrosurgeons can now turn dead Mechanithralls into Biles & Carrions which is huge. The biggest issue with Banes is that their support was extremely overcosted. Once Dark Host is out it becomes free. Mix this with the fact that everyone's Cryx drop is basically just teched out to crush Ghost Fleet I think we'll be seeing a drop in Ghost Fleet even if it's not nerfed.

"teched out to crush Ghost Fleet" = 50/50 chance of having a playable game.

Maybe in Khador/Legion. In other factions it's a miserable game for Ghost Fleet.

Maybe in Khador/Legion. In other factions it's a miserable game for Ghost Fleet. Legion has the new Throne, they'll be just fine. I've played against a Thagrosh list with the CID version and it's pretty much unkillable unless I spend the feat on it (and then Typhon is unkillable the turn after) and it can reach really far, even to the insurance models.

I don't think the Necrosurgeon being able to make Carrions and Biles is "huge," since they'll need to be within 3" of the Carrions (which is tricky, since one of that unit's main jobs is running 14" to gum up the enemy), and to make Biles you still need to spend a ton of points on a Bile unit that's slow, vulnerable to attack, and really only meant for killing infantry.
Getting free support and Prowl for Banes IS huge, though, and I think Dark Host is very strong in a warbeast/warjack-heavy meta. I'm also a really big fan of the new Desecrator and would almost always take it in Dark Host.
I don't know that Dark Host will cover matchups that Ghost Fleet has trouble with, though, what few there are.

I'm digging the new Siege Anamanterax. I didn't expect to keep the auto knockdown, the lessened reliance on cantankerous tokens, as well as gaining another box and another point of ARM that wasn't present at the end of the CID.
I'm planning on running it with Makeda1. With the new SA, we have a quite viable option that's not the Titan gladiator, who has a quite poor Def/Arm stat. With battlegroup shield guard and quicken, I don't need the Krea, another piece of necessary support bloat that has a good chance of doing nothing. With the feat keeping my infantry alive, I don't need the Agonizer either. Things are coming together nicely.

Slightly bummed Admonisher is non-boostable. Especially that there wasn't a point drop to go with it. But I can live with it.
