Even were I to mention to my opponent, 'I am using the CID version', it is unfair for my opponent to have access to another factions CID stuff, especially where it changes multiple times over a CID period. I would hate to win a game because my opponent got confused about what version of a model he/she was playing against, and so I end up not playing it at all to avoid the confusion. I want everyone to remember all the times over the years that people gave PP employees shit for not getting rules right (up to and including the MkIII faction Insiders) and then read the bolded sentences over a few times.

I agree with the camp of "don't play with made-up testing rules until they are final." Unfortunately, everyone in my meta wants to use these made-up testing rules as they are "cool" and different, despite the actively moving changes. This has already caused issues of accidentally playing rules that are a week behind. Also, people playing the latest version of CID SR2017, despite the announcement that these rules have changed.
It's super frustrating, especially when the tournament environment here actively uses those made-up testing rules.
