Re: Slayer tactics, because they're 10 points and have decent threat and damage output, the opponent does have to deal with them, which is good for trades; the downside is that their fragility means they don't necessarily need to use a heavy to take the Slayer out.
I've definitely had success throwing Slayers forward to do what they can, get crippled or destroyed, and then retaliating with a second wave that kills more points than the Slayers were worth. Especially with Coven.
Has anyone tried using Brutes to deliver Slayers and Seethers en masse? I've been thinking about e.g.
Morty1 - Infernal Machines Slayer Slayer Slayer Seether Desecrator
10 mechs + 3 Brutes 6 mechs + 3 Brutes 6 mechs + 3 Brutes 3 Scrap Thralls Soul trapper
Warwitch (free) Warwitch (free)
Clearly a list that would have trouble against infantry, and it has little shooting, but those five heavies would have lots of shield guards (you might not even ambush with a unit if the shooting threat is very high) and plenty of focus to fuel them. The lack of armour debuffs also concerns me.
What I've found with Morty1 is that the lists she wants to throw heavies at are usually lacking in good Overrun victims to get those big threat ranges. She also doesn't have any pathfinder options to help get those mechanithralls up the board or any support for them at all...
