Let's see that Karchev madness happen then. If anything he'll be besties with Cygnar/Ret who can probably keep him in check while he keeps other stuff down...
I hope I'm wrong, for me he is a great piece of fluff and imagery that they haven't replicated in hordes. I'd love to see a Warbeast/warlock (GO GO KROMAC3!)...

That is a very interesting thought, it is hard to see how it would work with the Fury Mechanic.
Maybe they could have spirals like a Warbeast, but if they were crippled in the same way that seems like a massive downgrade to regular health boxes, maybe instead they have an ability linked to each spiral, that they lose if it is crippled.
Spirit - Shake Effects like Blind, Stationary and Knockdown for Free Mind - Upkeep Spells for Free Body - Righteous Vengeance
I have chosen effects that are only relevant in the Maintenance/Control phase, otherwise it would be too easy to heal them during your turn, and you would never lose the benefit.

Just think of downside of not beeing able to spend Fury without Spirit... Ouch. Perhaps even too much...
Aside form the spirit issue losing a die in hit rolls and dmg rolls is worse than a single system and would probably balance with the ease of self-healing and lack of "medic" units in Hordes (Circle excluded if it's a contruct.)

I think you could be on the right track; loosing something the rules already give. Similar to how Typhon looses initial attacks for each spiral lost. Mind - loose charging and running for free Body - cannot cut for fury Spirit - cannot cast battlegroup animi But it would have to be a BIG powerhouse by itself. I could see Thagrosh 3 going full dragon and getting something similar to Garg rules. He'd have minimal beast points. Little in the way of support. But just an absolute melee monster.

We should rename this thread "A Warmachine Version of Bethayne?" Having a warcaster that jumped into a mecka suit would be cool. Get on that shit Nemo.

I'm surprised it hasn't happened in trolls. Everythings a troll in there: soldiers, casters, light beasts, heavy beasts, even the gargants are just big trolls. What happens when one of the warlocks grows bigger?

What happens when one of the warlocks grows bigger? I'm no expert but I think trollkin and dire trolls are like different subspecies. If that's true I think legion would be the best bet Bethayne already kind of is, there's Thags, Abby has a very beastly evolution, and maybe some day some sort of Nephilim or some other blighted creation becoming a warlock. I suppose Circle could as well if there's not something precluding a werewolf from using magic or there's whatever Kromac is.

I swear, I want a Nephilim warlock so bad. And a Skinwalker warlock. And an Aradus Queen warlock.
Anc aren't trollkin just Dire Trolls mixed with human DNA? Or is that my from my game?

You have some weird fanfiction. Trolls and dire trolls are two separate species. It actually is the case with farrow though. Light warbeasts are just really big farrow and heavy warbeasts are just really big light warbeasts.

But yeah, I just checked I was thinking of trolls from my wargame setting.

Isn't Bethayne / Belphagore the hordes version of Karchev?

I'm surprised it hasn't happened in trolls. Everythings a troll in there: soldiers, casters, light beasts, heavy beasts, even the gargants are just big trolls. What happens when one of the warlocks grows bigger? They're not actually the same species. You have the true Trolls. Which includes Pygmy Trolls, Fullblood Trolls(including derivatives like Swamp, Pyre, etc...), Dire Trolls, Sea Kings, Glacier Kings, and Mountain Kings. Then you have Trollkin. Which are a separate species. They are more intelligent then true Trolls, but don't have the same primal connection to Dhunia that the true trolls do. This greater connection is what gives true trolls their amazing regenerative properties, including the ability to spawn Whelps. Trollkin do not have as great of regenerative abilities. So no, you wouldn't get a Beast warcaster in trolls. You might in Legion(though I'd say Bethayne already counts), you could in Skorne(Cyclops are both sentient and can use magic), and of course Circle could give the Warpwolf elixir to a warlock. Epic Barnabus maybe too. And Arkadius might follow up on a weird experiment.

Given that Trollkin predate humanity by a fair bit, that's not possible. Trollkin are a different species. Basically one of Dhunia's sentient race creations(along with Gobbers, Ogrun, Bogrun, and Pygmy Trolls. And most likely Croaks as well)
