This was so much fun I thought I would share.
Playing Hark into Vlad2. My Hark (Jaws) list is well set up to clear infantry, triple Kodiaks, Triple Jugs and then Behemoth Marshalled by Badder Santa. Couple of random solos I still can't figure out what to do thrown in.
Opponent running Vlad2.
Top of 2 he goes for a crippling move. E1 misses a bolt (needed a 7) into Hark. While would have been "bad" Powerup probably still saves the Iron Wolf from completely losing.
But that isn't the best part.
The best part is that also on top of 2 he super serums 3 eliminators and RUNS them to surround the Iron Wolf with the idea that next turn they will murderate him a bunch (and likely keep doing it). Kodiaks are off doing kodiak things elsewhere so will have a hard time getting over to help.
But I have behemoth. Badder Santas empower the big boy. He walks to close range and SHOOTS HARK. Sometimes the motherland requires us to risk death. Doesn't hit him (that would have been "bad" but could still have lived) but barely deviates from close range. Boosted 7s into the eliminators. Do it again. End up killing 2 of the gals (I had sniped out 1 on bottom of 1 from a lucky deviation). End of threat. After that just mop up.
Moments like that are at really the core of why I LOVE this game. It isn't to make the most power list (though I am a pretty competitive guy). It is the crazy fun of shooting your own guy in the hopes he will live because it is the way out of the trap. Sunday I Khador'ed harder. It felt fun.

I can only assume that Harkevich put sunglasses on and casually strolled away from the explosion in slow motion.

Thank you for yet another reminder that if high explosives (and brute force) don't solve your problem, you're not using enough of it.
