So I was is this discussion on Fbook and I'm not the percentage guy or the maths guy, I mean I know if ya need more than six on two die and it's a needed kill I should boost. But why am I not seeing more battle lust on Kallus himself, even in an overrun driven list, or on the assassination runs?
I can math this....your Mat is fairly descent and you've got Mat fixers available in all 3 themes. A pow 15 blade on a pow 14 mount on a fury 6 caster.
This is 3 for BL Boosted attack roll from Cavalry Charge at pow 15 on 4 dice, free pow 14 from mount on 3 dice(1 fury if fishing for critical knockdown), and 2-3 fury left to buy/ boost attacks.
Is it mathematically better to just buy the 3 extra attacks and skip the battlelusting?
Yes I'm asking someone to do the math and give some percentages.

If you expect to hit 3 attacks after Battle Lust (either because you're dealing with high DEF or you're casting Overrun) you should be casting Battle Lust against ARM 19 or higher, and buying attacks against ARM 18 or lower.
With all your fury available and the assumption that you'll hit each attack, you should be casting it against ARM 17 or higher, and buying attacks against ARM 16 or lower.

If you are in a situation where you would typically boost damage on your pow 15 attacks, then battle lust is the best option.
Without lust you get cavalry charge boosted, impact attack unboosted, then buy 3 attacks and boost damage on them.
With lust you get cavalry charge boosted, impact attack "boosted", then buy 3 attacks with "boosted" damage.
The only difference in these situations being that you get the extra damage die on your impact attack with battle lust.
