So, wow, just noticed that Heretic's ability isn't limited to 1 casting a turn. It sounds like it will be a real pain to play into, and I like it.
So what casters would really dislike playing into this? I can see Vlad1 being sad when signs and portents gets thrown back at him. Or maybe last stand on dread rots? Or just TK?
What do y'all think?

Think we need to wait till the release as it might have gone by release if the internal testing thinks its too good. That said there was no big complaints about it during CID that I remember.

You know, designing a caster for the explicit purpose of just being better than other casters may be kinda a corrupt mentality, and really displays PPs broken design ideology in my mind. It's funny how that ability is similar Haley 2s Ability in MKII.
Coincidence? I think not.

It's funny how that ability is similar Haley 2s Ability in MKII. Coincidence? I think not. While I am generally a lover of H2, she really didn't need that ability. As for PP, there are really only so many abilities that can be brought into this game. Heretic is an interesting mesh of different spells you would usually find in Menoth, and a couple things for Harby's kit, and a a feat to give his stuff prey. I like him, and think he's different enough to be fine. Grymkin as a whole is great. I love that PP are tinkering with different mechanics in WMH, the aracana system is cool.

FWIW, probably Kreoss 3. He gets 4 UPKEEP spells for heretic to cast out on his feat turn.

Looking at the card for Heretic on PP's card database (which I'm assuming is official), Heretic can cast them, but can't upkeep them. Which is still pretty effective.
