I think it was intended to preemptively answer player questions that might come up, but I feel like it ended up as a totally unnecessary tactical tip that causes some very corner case problems. Sadly one of those is a part of Calaban's kit soooo

Sadly one of those is a part of Calaban's kit soooo I feel like you could make a strong argument if it ever actually came up in a tournament that since it is his feat which allows him to cast spells out of activation that he would still be able to channel out of activation. But that would require someone to actually take Calaban to a tournament.

In this episode we discuss the new upcoming Croak Lesser Warlock, as well as Rickard's time at the WTC, and how Minions did at the WTC as a whole. I totally get what you mean about the pig dojo. Midas is the only 'caster I'm still writing lists for until Mire drops, and even then there is some half-hearted speculation about Bone Swarm spam now that Rage is available but I don't seriously expect that to end up anywhere. Dangit Rickard I swear I saw your models multiple times but you were never anywhere near them that I could see Missed you all weekend.

But that would require someone to actually take Calaban to a tournament. I've taken him to a tournament and no one ever says anything about not being able to channel out of activation. Even the judges who know all the rules. But sadly, the wording is clear as day, it's not allowed. His feat needs to include that he can channel spells out of activation thanks to the feat.

For some reason I generally had very short rounds at this year's WTC compared to the grindfests I usually endure so I got to durdle around more. I still ended up missing a whole lot of people (including you Azahul) but there's always next year In other news I got my shit together and updated my password at the PP forums after I got a tip from David Lindegren. Here's an infernal clarification about Anamag's ability to channel outside her activiation due to Ritual Slaughter. privateerpressforums.com/showthread.php?277570-Channeling-spells-cast-through-Ritual-SlaughterIf you don't have PP forum access the clarification is that she can channel out of activation so Calaban can go back to his regular schedule again

Just to chime in;
In the last podcast, it was mentioned that we could be on shaky ground for Calaban - it was uncertain if he could channel spells outside his activation. It was asked on Facebook about the rule.
Pagaini responded to say yes, you can channel outside activation.
The 'tone' in the rulebook is written in a 'conversational style' rather than the normally precise writing of actual rules.

Hey guys, first of all, love your podcast. It's the shit. With that said, I just received the most insane Christmas present. A close friend of mine bought and painted up around one hundred points of beautiful blindwater stuff, and just gave them to me. (I do not deserve him as a friend). We have a local journeyman league coming up, and I will be sure to participate. Sooo I'm looking for some advice, it would be cool to hear it from you guys. I'm geeking out from excitement! Thanks guys.

One more late Christmas wish! I understand that this might be quite the undertaking. But it would be sweet with a faction wide unitguide/review where you briefly go through all the models. I'm kind of a noob myself and that would be awesome for people like me who haven't played as long as some of your other listeners. Thanks again.

macmac, thanks for the well wishes and we are glad that you have enjoyed the show! Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and we are bringing the show to a close with the end of this year. It has been a really good 3 years though and we'll all definitely still be around for inappropriate commentary!

Will you still be doing battle reports around here?

Gaston, did you and Richard (sp?) finally run out of puns and that's why it stopped ? Or did you finally made peace with the thresher? Anyways, thanks for all the hard work you, Richard, and the other dude put in. I'm a relatively casual player and I found the podcast accessible, fun, and useful. I've shameless stolen a few lists and even won a tourney once thanks to a Carver list y'all once discussed. I know the podcasts are alot of work and time so I thank you all for the effort! And dont stop trying to shoehorn the thresher into lists!!

I have 2.5 from the past week that I need to finish writing up (not putting much effort into Rask/Ninja Pig assassination), but one included a list I lifted off of you soooooooo...... Being old and busy just sucks is all.

Thank you so much for the thoughts though; accessible, fun, and useful were literally the things that we were aiming for when creating and structuring the cast. No need to shoehorn, Thresher is beautiful all on its own baby.
