I can also have 40 points of ADR vanguard - to save the lists a bit (but its quite hard to work out how free stuff happens.) I believe you can't have free stuff in your 40 points.
Still the usual Fyanna2 list is probably better plus something else. Its just these lists look like they would be fun. (as long as I don't mind loosing...)
Any thoughts?

I will go ahead and say play what you want to and have fun. I'd definitely encourage you to go to enjoy the game rather than dead set on winning at all costs. Saeryn I've gound to be really oppressive with double hellmouths, Typhon, and Proteus. If you have any desire to play out of theme I would say mess around with that.

Thanks Forever_Blight,
I've got Fyanna2 with Oracles playing well, but I just find it dull that so many people play the same/simalar thing. Out of theme might be a good plan for me, but I do like Oracles. I've played a few games with Kryssa CoD, and its not too bad. The Nephalim are really lumpy. It has a threat range issue - but the Hex Hunters + Incubi really help with that. Carnivans + Saeryn might be fun. I gotta do my lists tomorrow and pack my bag (and finishing painting Azurel...)
I recently found out other people are starting to play Kryssa and liking her - saying she might be good. I have to find something new and snowflake unique now!

I've been Playing Kryssa since release. She is hands down my favorite and most capable caster/list. I've been trying to convince people of her strength the entire time, so I wrote a tactics article here She really is deceptively powerful. CoD doesn't detract too much from here as she just cannot make the most out of a large battle group. Here feat wants high volume and our point costs make that difficult. Soldiers are cheap, can really put that feat turn to good use with precision strike, and aren't as big a loss for her when they do bite the dust.

Azrael was the kicker for people to get into her i think. He is just bonkers with her.

So, I took a bit of the idea for Saeryn 1 from this and put it on the table. Holy crap does that have some powerful and near unavoidable control elements. Ice cage stationary, Shadowbind, Blight bringer, and Breath stealer. So freaking good. If it wasn't for the fact that I ended up dealing with Convergence, jacks would have done nothing. I'd definitely put in a Throne after CID finishes for the chance at another stationary through ice cage.
Mistakes I made; don't take a soldier*...without a damage buff it can't even ding up heavy infantry (ok, it was shield wall 8 hit box heavy infantry with recursion but still. 3 fury spent on both of 2 turns and didn't kill 1 dude). Bloodseer is seriously useful both for telemetry and a cheap Arm 23 roadblock. and I think she wants a bolt thrower, just not sure how to fit it in and not gimp other stuff.
* the idea was to have a precision strike with the feat's retaliatory strike. Seemed cheeky to maybe carve out a cortex on a charge, then if it got repaired, cut it out again with retaliatory.

I played the 'normal' fyanna list at the Welsh open paired with Saeyrn roughly as above. I played Fyanna once, then Saeryn 6 times, winning 4 games, placing me 50th out of 120ish. Pretty happy with that. ADR let me take the carnivian out for soliders as required. The soliders were great in some match ups. I had an epic game vs Harbinger that I lost, and I lost to ghost felt game 7 by being too tired and not getting my threat ranges right and loads of mistakes. Had great fun.

So all in all Saeryn was a success? Or was it situational? I'm really glad to see people playing the less popular casters and lists. What I played the other night really impressed me. Heck even the teaching game i played after with the twins (caster was picked for me at random) has kind of kicked off a bit of interest in them.

With ADR it was really good. The heaviest armour I took on was Butcher 3, with 3 Kodiaks and Ruin. With the Carnivian added was fine and fun. I would have dropped Fyanna into 5+ Khador Heavies - but I'd happily play this into others. Ret/Menoth Jack spam for example.
I played Fyanna into Trolls *Doomshaper3* I thought it was Doomshaper 2 to be fair, when I chose Fyanna - grievous wounds would have helped, and blightbringer would have been ace. - and he didn't have much problem hitting me it seemed...
Then I played Saeryn
Khador (Butcher) won 2CP 69 kill points. The Pit.
Menoth (Harbinger) Lost 0CP 19 kill points. The book shut me down really badly. Have to kill the book. Its behind rows and rows of examplares and shield guards. Grevious wounds was pretty good, game was going OK, but it was so complicated and so many attacks - I clocked myself. Got Harby down to 6 a few times, and once got to trample Zuriel over to by her and make 3 attacks, but needed hard 8's and only hit once. If I'd hit twice I think she might well have died. Retribution (Helena) 5 - 62 Won - Grevious wounds shut down Impreitus and part of her feat. 2 Units of Sentinals got Wind of Affliction from the Helions on them, and the Afflcitions, Soliders and the chewed though them, Zuriel killed Impreitus, BFS stationeries Discordia and Saeryn locked him down. Really not much left after that.
Cryx won 5-46 (Gasphy2, with banes and arcnodes and 2 units of strixis.) I cast breathstealer for I think the first time ever, and a unit of strixis just die to hexhunters and a hellion. I wipe out so much stuff he eventually can't contest 2 of the flags (it was 3 flags)
Cygnar won - 1 119 Haley 2, 2 flags. Had 2 units of storm lances, Centuraian, Stormclad and Thorn. Put the carnivian and seraph in list, alongside bloodseer, so could slip stream. This got me a lot of work done in halley feat turn, and 5 Centurian attacks 2 missed and 3 didn't roll great damage against my Carnivian taking about 10 damage each! One stormlance charged it doing about 10 damage too! The Carnivian returned the favour - doing low damage back the next turn but did manage to break the main weapon on the Centurian. also managed to kill Thorn underfeat and a stormlance. Was a good turn. Slipstream is the best. Under my feat he did minimal damage. Then was left near near full health zuriel and a living carnivian and some spell attacks if needed - and Halley conceded.
Cryx Denagra Ghost fleet. Lost - 0 5 vp. Extraction. I'd prepared for this matchup. I think I had a real chance against it. Its a really fun cryx list - its very powerful, and so cool to see evil pirates coming back from the dead. I have lots of magic weapons so the incoropral isn't an issue much of the time. So what do I do turn one? I move Zuriel and my carnivian into the threat range of the 2 stalkers and the wraith engine. I didn't even check the threat ranges. I was just stupid. Then I kill a few things. My opponent puts Denegra far forwards to get more or less everything under feat but is standing out in the middle of no where. Zuriel Dies, Respawns behind some woods and dies again (ghost shooting ignores woods forgot that!) My bolt thrower gets shot twice by a pistol wraith who spikes dice and takes his spirit out and makes him stationary (living the dream). The Wraith Engine puts some hurt (about 8 boxes on My Carny - we learn spiny growth works on Battle engines!) then the slayer charges him and does the last point of spirit damage to the carney. Oh. I miss read Denagra's feat about 5 different ways and start a cleverly planned assaination. I get confused and mess it all up.
She had 4 camp I believe. And is 16/14 stealth.
I measured some stuff. Was pointed out I can't charge. I rethink. I slip steam my caster so she can walk within 5, to throw knifes. I then can't strath, so boost a shot at her. This hits and Flares. I forget that Flare removes stealth. Yah after 7 games I'm pretty exhausted it seems. Does 4 boxes after a focus.
I move the bloodseer to block off my naga from shooting. A boosted Power 12 would have been great. Why did I do this? To free up my carnivan to do nothing. I got confused. I thought the bloodseer would be able to run nearenough to apply telemetray, but didn't realise you couldn't run, charge, special attack/power attack under feat. Anyway then Seryn walked close and hit with 2 of her daggers - at PS6 she chipped away 2 focus by rolling really well. Then she boosted at PS14 shot that hit and needed a hard 16 to kill (I missed she still had focus and thought I just needed an 11... If I'd remember about stealth/flare the 2 ps14 would have been better. Then the BFS walked up (not effected by feat) and forgot about flare. So did nothing cause... then the naga was blocked out by the confused Bloodseer, and Saeryn was knocked down and murdered by wraith engine/deagra combo of doom. Good game, so many tactical errors. Still just my second game against the fleet first with Saeryn - I think next time I will have a much better set of plans.
Overall I think she is very playable. I had game into each of these matchups. The bad ones are antimagic ones, but I managed around Ruin, and If I had a clearer plan Menoth would have been winnable too I think. I think I would want to run her with a good armour cracking list that can have more fun playing into 6 arm 20 jacks under say Vlad1 which I don't think Saeryn would like, but I haven't tried it yet.
I was a bit hesitant to put Arm buff feat paired with Str Buff feat - because things that can beat arm, often have lots of arm, so I didn't think Saeryn + Kryssa are a good pairing. My next goal is to figure out a fun non-adr list for playing in some steamrollers/etc may be. Not sure if with out ADR Saeryn is good enough!

I saw your CID post today. Do you think the throne helps fix the non ADR problem with Saeryn. I have been looking at a similar list myself.

It gives you a really good lump to hide Zuriel behind, which is neat. I'm not able to play Afflictors and soldier spam without ADR, they are too low powered, but the list I played on CID seems solid, the throne is high volume of attacks which is good. The ice cage helps BFS, it can't be knocked down and it the worst case senerio, it can make 4 ps 16 attacks, and suck up a bunch of punishment, The question I keep asking is would I rather have an angelius or Sythean, and it's an ok answer.
