Hello fellow Paingivers. I am painting some desert blood elf skin and I'm a little lost on how to do it. I am using mostly GW paints now but I'm looking to make the jump to the P3 line in the very near future.
Thank you all for you me wisdom in advance.

My Skorne skin ends up a bit closer to the tan side of things. I start with a base of VJ Heavy skintone mixed with a little P3 Bloodstone, then wash with GW Reikland fleshshade, highlight with VJ Heavy skintone then start mixing in some VJ flat flesh. The importance of the character determines how many levels of highlight they get.

yeah, I've always seen Skorne to have skin more akin to tanned leather than normal flesh. It only makes sense with their badland and desert lifestyle that only the upper cast could ever survive without developing heavily weathered skin.

I went the other way and made my Skorne very pale - Menoth White Base up through Menoth White Highlight. I figured that keeping their skin pale so they are more likely to suffer sunburns seems like a very Skorne thing to do.

I personally use the army painter line, for mine I do a Barbarian flesh and skeleton bone. To give it the pinkish look that it has in most of the art I go over it with a thinned down red wash.
Once I work through a few more of my paints I am going to switch to the P3 line as well.
