I really don't understand the Problem with the update. Just having 2-3 Focus more every turn is huge! And actually flank is great, you can just unjam your units while trivially killing a heavy you know ... There is a big difference between being a squishy support caster and having the option of doing tons of damage with little setup.

She had no nerf at all and she only gains something.

You are right, the changes are all buffs and are positive improvements. The situation reminds me a lot of Constance Blaize. That is perhaps the source of my apprehension, Constance is still a caster who lives on the shelf for me, even after a CiD with quite a lot of buffs, changes and new units to make use of.

I think all of our melee buffing casters have to live in the shadow of Stryer2.

And you know the others are not have noticeable cards in their sleeve to be a competitive option. These casters are even strictly worse than Stryker1, who have no damage buff at all. That's why there is no chance that they can be picked instead of Stryker2. If you want to use someone else then you must be pick Stryker1 or even Nemos, not those so called 'melee supporter' caster that is not supporting our melee games properly.

I don’t know that I agree with that. Maddox can play the ARM 21-23 Stormblade game, and all of our casters have access to Throne for damage buffing. Prior to Oblivion, she and Storm Division were good enough to see play. What Maddox really needs is threat extension, which apparently Storm Division is getting in the Dynamic Update. The biggest thing Maddox brings to the table over any of the Strykers is Pathfinder which is huge. The problem for her at the moment is that Storm Division is just completely outshone by Flames. With a few tweaks though, Storm Division still gets some of the best elements from Flames (Throne and Battle Priests) and could have fast, competitive Infantry options. Stryker2 beats her out in Flames by just having a better overall package and Infantry options that don’t necessarily need army-wide Pathfinder (Vigilants and access to PF on a unit through Throne tends to be enough). But with better Storm Division options overall? With a lack of Pathfinder as the main weakness? Maddox would fill that gap very nicely.
