Hello all! I've been playing Khador for a few months, and I'm really enjoying it after years of Grymkin/Trollbloods. I've wanted to play Doom Reavers for a long time, and I've wanted Victor since I first saw him in mk2.
I've pretty much nailed my WoW list to how I want it after a few dozen games with different casters. I'm currently pairing it with Butcher3 in Winterguard, which I'm having a blast with! I'm wondering if there is something out there I'm missing, what do you use as a pair for WoW?

Vlad3 WoW is usually paired with either Vlad3 WotOF or Karchev Jaws on a tournament level, but i am sure other stuff can work too. Ak would be another contender if the current scenario package was more favourable to it.

I would invest in a minimum unit if mechanics in those lists; keeping that Victor going is worth it.
Khador still really enjoys playing in a brick/anti brick pairing, where you take a mob of doomies in one and something that is usually a bad match up for lists that murder doomies.
So, yeah, what Sorokin says.

I had a min unit of Mechanics in my list for like 10 games and they never ended up repairing anything. Turns out the enemy usually doesn't have the time to mind about Victor with all the doomies in their face.
I actually tried few games with Karchev (with pretty bad results), I'm missing few jacks from a good loadout. But that's definitely something I'm interested in!

I have the same experience with Mechanics but I haven't tried them with a colossal to be honest. It probably makes a bit of a difference but I generally just don't have the points to invest in them. I'm still waiting to live the dream with Karchev...maybe it's just my typical match-ups but I just feel that Jaws doesn't compete well anymore. Things hit so hard these days and the Khador brick is so predictable that it just makes for a tough game. If I were you, I'd look into Warriors of the old Faith. It might be less Khador-y but its playstyle is probably a lot more diverse and interesting that Karchev-brick...and probably also more competitive. Also, I love that B3 list haha. I really want to try it out. I ran B3 in Jaws for the longest time but this looks fun.

I'm intrigued by that Butcher3 list. I have nothing to say about Gun Carriages or Sorscha0, this looks good. But why the Victor? It doesn't benefit from Energizer, and 3 huge bases must be difficult to manoeuver.

I've played 5ish games with the Victor in this list, and I really like it so far. 3 huges could be a problem but Gun Carriages are super mobile and I can usually flank with them. Played vs Arkadius yesterday and GC worked fine as a speed bump, of course it got wrecked but it gave the necessary cover to Victor who went to clean house afterwards (while Butcher cleaned 3 beasts himself)
I actually stumbled on this list a bit by accident since I got two Carriages for cheap and wanted to try them out. Now it's pretty much my favorite list...
EDIT: As for the Victor, I had two Kodiaks as the bg at the start, but those never did anything for me before dying. Victor enables long range poking at their support or to add one more Rough Ground aoe (total of 5 with Gun Carriages), which can be quite backbreaking in certain matches.

I stumbled on this thread...again and the B3 list again got me excited.
I created my own version of it and was wondering what the OPs rationale was behind some of his choices, most notably the Kodiak on S0, Eilish and the Marksman. The Marksman is really never a bad choice but I'd probably default to Ol Grim now first. Eilish seems odd but it might just be a meta choice. Lastly, I like Kodiaks but I don't really see a special reason to run it with S0 over other options. I usually default to a Rager to keep it cheap and keep S0 or other models safe. My second option is usually a Devastator because he is generally fine with just the one power up focus and it doesn't matter if he's out of command, contesting a flag or zone.
My own version is this:
Kommander Zoktavir, the Butcher Unleashed - WJ: +22 - War Argus - Greylord Adjunct - PC: 4 - Victor - PC: 34 (Battlegroup Points Used: 22)
Winter Guard Gun Carriage - PC: 17 Winter Guard Gun Carriage - PC: 17
Kovnik Apprentice Kratikoff - PC: 0 - Rager - PC: 10 Ol' Grim - PC: 0 Winter Guard Artillery Kapitan - PC: 0 Winter Guard Artillery Kapitan - PC: 0 Alexia, Mistress of the Witchfire - PC: 7 - Thrall Warrior
Winter Guard Infantry - Leader & 5 Grunts: 6 - Winter Guard Rocketeer - PC: 2
** The Artillery Kapitans seem like a good pick with Victor and 2 GCs, making sure those AOEs either hit or at least drift on more interesting targets or put that rough terrain where it matters more. They are also good flag sitters.
** Alexia2 I consider to be one of the best scenario pieces in the game. Considering you're taking the WGI to provide shield guard to B3 and they will likely die during the course of the game, this means guaranteed souls for Alexia2. This provides something this list (and this theme in general) lacks sorely, cheap disposable models to contest scenario elements with. And hey, if the WGK don't die, it means B3 made it up the board with his meat shield still intact, win win.
** The rocketeer is a filler.
The list doesn't have a spare unit to score round zones with but Butcher can bully that zone. Besides, I dont have great experiences with scoring round zones anyway. Also, I just like the other options more for what they do for the list. If I feel this becomes an issue, I would consider removing the Kapitans for a free unit of Elims because Ol Grim can camp the home flag, as can Alexia's Thralls.
Let's see when I get to put the list on the actual table...
