Hey all,
Have any of you experimented with converting minis into whelps or pygs? Whelp bits aren't exactly easy or cheap to find, so I wonder if I could maybe collect something like grots, snotlings, goblins, or the like to convert.

Don't look for gw staff if you want stay on the cheap side 🤣 however grots are cool. I like a lot kings of war goblins, for me the best!
For casual play and opponents are ok with it you shouldn't have problems.

thanks, but I think you misunderstood what I meant. I want to hack and saw miniatures into whelps rather than use them as unmodified proxies. My question is whether that's feasible. Apparently the main place to find ok-looking whelps other than the actual whelp unit are those attached to the Mountain King, but somehow I get the feeling those aren't a cheap option.
