Finally got my stuff today, and from what I can tell I've ended up with two extra Immortal Weavers. BackerKit is confusing, so maybe it's on me. I haven't been able to try the game out yet, but it got me thinking... How many Weavers is too many?
Or for that matter, how much sense does owning more than two of any solo make? I can't imagine using more than two of anything at once with a board that small but maybe I'm thinking about it the wrong way.

Having more weavers allows you to have way more angles for attack spells; you can go for an offense / debuff-heavy rack, I suppose. Also, doesn’t the Aeternus weaver have some kind of beat back or spray or something...? As for other solos, it can definitely be useful to have duplicates. Remember, each turn you get to activate one unit (a squad, solo, or warjack) and one solo. Having dupes is good in case your opponent blows away an un-activated model you were counting on using. It could suck to be deprived of the weaver you need right before you get to cast that critical spell, you know? That’s just my take with extremely limited experience, though. My rule of thumb so far is “don’t buy more than three of anything, unless you have a truly outstanding reason to do so.” (I had originally planned to stick with 1 of everything to start, but, uh, circumstances changed. )

From an ISA perspective fury cards have been a lot more useful in practice than they might seem on paper so having multiple weavers isn't a bad thing. Unfortunately for you the current AC hero is a really good weaver and having 4 total might be overkill.
As for having multiple solos I hear a lot of AC players are taking 2-3 maurauders. With a grafter solo they can take and dish out a lot of punishment for a small resource investment and the ability to remove their own activation tokens lets them do it again and again.

Yeah, the Immortal's got a POW 4 spray. I'm just thinking fifteen things doesn't seem like a lot of things. Plus there's those big robot dogs coming later and I've got to have those.
I'll probably keep them unassembled for now just to make sure they haven't accidentally replaced Mooregrave and Redblade or something horrible. Then maybe I'll see if anybody at the LGS needs a spare. Gah, I can't wait for Wave 2.

As for having multiple solos I hear a lot of AC players are taking 2-3 maurauders. Yeah, this makes a lot of sense. Two Weavers plus Raxis seems like plenty. Mainly I can't see myself taking extra Weavers because at least on paper multiple Grafters and Marauders seem like a much more compelling option. Plus they're awesome looking and they're totally what sold me on AC as a faction. Edit: After some review, I've got two Marauders, two Grafters, and four Immortal Weavers with Raxis, Mooregrave, and Redblade coming later. So I selected one by mistake because I'm bad at counting and got one bonus one because they're bad at counting!
