This is a great paintjob, I think the skin is incredible! I also love how the gold has straight and non-muddy edge highlights. I really struggle to get good metal edges these days. Thanks mate! I do tend to edge-highlight very agressively these days; it's not a very realistic look but I do think it's visually pleasing from moderate distances. I beg to differ: a well executed edge highlight is indeed realistic! If you look at metals around: they all have strong reflections on the edges! Also you have to overtune contrast on minis a bit, because of the scale! So very good work indeed!

Nice work! I'm a fan of the wooden barrel as well...never did care for the kegs in these exclusive sculpts. Kegs are too modern-looking for my tastes, though I get why the exclusive sculpts were made the way they were. Wood casks fit the setting a whole lot better in my opinion. Was it hard to remove the keg? I've always wanted to pick this model up to paint, but the keg has always kind of turned me off of getting it.

I didn't have to remove the keg, because I didn't use the original model's arms at all. Rather I used the arms from the MOW Battle Mechanic officer (and 3d printed a replacement arm for the pilot as I didn't see a need for the mug either). If you do want to use the original arms the keg could be removed, but you'd probably want to use a dremel. I can post photos of the unused parts if you'd like so you can get an idea for the amount of work involved.

OK, I dug out the unused parts and took a photo:
As you can see the arm is in two parts, so the keg does not have too much contact with the arm and is reasonably exposed to cutting tools. If you're replacing it with a similarly-sized barrel, you won't even need to do any sculpting (maybe a bit of sanding to fit the recesses in the upper arm).

Thanks for those pictures, it isn't as bad as I thought. Perhaps I'll add the model to my wants over on Btown. I wouldn't mind trying my hand at converting it. Alternately, it looks pretty good with the arms you added as well, there may be some bits I can order from PP (when they finally have them available again) that I could kitbash with.

The MOW mechanic office arms look much cooler than standard MOW arms to my eyes! The Bombshell is available on the PP website right now FYI.

Yeah, I'm kind of in a holding pattern for buying new stuff though. Mostly because I have a lot of stuff still sitting in boxes, or assembled and awaiting paint, and partly because my wife has started hinting that I need to get rid of all the extra stuff I have laying around that I have no plans for. She doesn't mind me getting new stuff, but the combination of those two things means I she tends to raise eyebrows a bit more when I buy new stuff as opposed to trading for them. She's a gamer as well (though not into miniatures like I am) so she understands WHY I like minis, modding and painting. She's just not as into them taking up as much space as they do - and to be honest, she does have a point. My gaming stuff, along with the fact that I have played and collected MtG cards for years and have boxes of commons that are barely worth the paper they're printed on, means my stuff tends to take up a lot more space than her gaming stuff. RPG books are the exception as we do share the decent-sized library of books we've collected over the years
