So I hadn’t played since August until I went out to a tournament last weekend. Had a ton of fun just hitting the table again, but I definitely feel like I could freshen up my lists. So given all the Oblivion and Riot Quest solos released over the last year, what are my priorities?
I have all the Minion warlocks (though I haven’t played any of the Farrow), at least two of every beast, basically full FA of Blindwater, and a healthy smattering of Farrow.
I really like the little tank models, but I’m not sure what to play them with. Void Archon seems generally good in WWFF; do I want two of them? Primal Archon seems alright but again I’m not sure where I’d use it. I figure Boomhowler 2 looks great in a lot of contexts. Anything else interesting out of Riot Quest?
Can y’all help me get a handle on which of these new options are actually good? And which are flexible across multiple lists?

A lot of it depends on what Warlocks you actually want to play. A few of the Riot Quest solos are unambiguously excellent (Boomhowler2 is the one that makes an appearance in most lists I write), but a lot of them are pretty laser focussed on particular Warlocks. Flugwug, for example, is the greatest gift to Helga(1) you can imagine, but I don't know when you'd use him otherwise... though I have seen him being run with reasonable success under Midas's command.
Another interesting snippet is that a lot of the solos work well with each other. The Hermit of Henge Hold, for example, really likes both Ledfoot and Tredz and Boomhowler to get himself up the board faster. Kwaak really likes having the Hermit around, being able to block the free strike makes Enliven a bit more consistently useful, and Telemetry makes Kwaak lethal to light infantry. The tanks like the Primal Archon a good bit as a set-up for their guns, and the Primal Archon doesn't hate having Boomhowler around so that it can Reposition out of the way. Void Archons are just ubiquitously great, but beyond doing a great deal of work personally they also help to support the army, and Boomhowler's Reposition helps again to let them muck around and then slide in somewhere to apply Dark Shroud. To be honest, you could probably build a Maelok list out of nothing but the new solos and it would be reasonably effective.

So two voids, boomhowler2 and a hermit no matter what will be a safe bet to pick up to be flexible and good and show up in a majority of your lists.
Stuff like the tanks or primals are slightly more list dependent but they can be good as well. I’ve been running the super solo Maelok WWFF build with massive success actually (like 17-0 across steamrollers and game nights it’s kinda freaky how good it’s being) so running solo heavy with all the new stuff works really well with some casters if you want to go that route
Otherwise scythe I’ve been starting to test with and has been an interesting include on some WWFF lists. Jaims also can have some interesting spots

Cool, thanks friends. Sounds like Boomie and 2 Voids at least until Hermit releases properly. I still crave tanks, but the full 3-man squad is expensive.

I guess that's because he can Jump behind enemy models and slam them towards your army with the feat.

Chain Strike and Rapid Strike on MAT 7 don’t suck, either.

He doesn't need to get behind the enemy 'caster to get them close enough for the rest of your army to slam towards your army. With Ledfoot he threatens 18", can slam an enemy to knock them down and still pull them in after the attack so that they're in base to base, and he's a boosted Mat 7. He's basically the best solo to begin an assassination run with.

Ledfoot and/or the Pyg Tanks aren't bad in a list with Helga's Feat, to be fair.

Ledfoot and/or the Pyg Tanks aren't bad in a list with Helga's Feat, to be fair. with me its this reluctance to start mixing up the minnions and this desire to keep my armies as "pig centric" as possible. so far the only gator models i got are the arcnode shrines.

That's a shame. I've been finding Helga1 more and more fun to play... But boy you need a lot of non-pig models to make her sing. Soul Slave, Totem Hunter, Void Archons, River Raiders, and now Flugwug and Ledfoot.
Technically dropping Ledfoot still leaves Flugwug threatening 16", which isn't bad.

"whats that? 8 hp warcaster with 0 focus and only def 13 arm 17? lets do this" proceeds to roll 5 attacks, with attack and/or dmg rolls below 4"WELP" she is cursed.
