Riot Quest has a lovely modularity to it that really lets you shakeup Crew and Gear selection. How have you been playing it? For reference:
Vanilla: 5-10 models of any class, 10 Riot Gear cards.
Adventuring Party: 1 model of each class, 6 Riot Gear cards.
Cash is King: Any 6 models, Loot cost of Riot Gear cards cannot exceed 25.
Evicted: 7-10 models of any class, two are banned from each player before game start, 10 Riot Gear cards.
Spec Ops: 5-10 models from two different classes, 6 Riot Gear cards.
I like modifying Spec Ops to be a little more like Adventuring Party (I think the game is best at 6 Hero crews).
How do you choose your teams? Do people roll up with what they've got? Do you draft heroes? Do you set up a character select screen?

So far I have a starter and 5 extra models. Once they are painted, I will try the "I got just enough to play with a friend" method.
