I’m sure this has been covered, but I am very bad at doing searches so please pardon me... When the gun carriage makes impact attacks, do those count as “melee” attacks? Silence of death gives +2 str and take down to melee attacks, so would an impact causing gun carriage benefit from this?

Impact attacks are melee attacks made with the mount. The +2 strength should be irrelevant, but the removed from play part works.

Thank you very much for your succinct answer. That’s too bad that the plus 2 strength doesn’t help with the damage, that would make it much better!

Yes Armchair Warrior that’s what I’m looking for. I had 2 games into Menoth today, one in particular against Harby, and it was just impossible! I don’t see any other good sources of grievous wounds etc in Khador. edit, I was able to @ you!!!

Yeah, I think our best options into *that* are probably B3 in Winterguard (with Sorscha 0), or Wolves. I think you have some options with Wolves.

Yeah, I didn’t play my wolves list, but I don’t know how it possibly pulls it off? Harby freezes my army for one turn, judicator scatters blasts all over. Even with spread out doomreavers, he’s killing a fair number. Then I’m not sure how I take down the Judi with doomreavers, let alone put in enough volume of attacks to kill his shield guard arm21 guys to clear them without Harby just saying “nope.” I’m sorry but I’m just quit tilted today from facing Menoth. They seem quite broken to me, don’t even get me started on Sevy0...

So if you’re teching for Harry, and pairing with Butcher, I actually wonder if we’re better off taking Strakhov 1 with 4-5 jacks and only 2-3 units of doomreavers. This is worth thinking through.
So, with Strakhov, on Turn 1 you jam forward hard with all your stuff. You only have 2-3 units of doomreavers, and their job is to get board position, threaten scenario, hide behind forests with apparition, and what have you. You brought the UAs so your stuff has anti tough for days if Menoth happened to be packing something like Exemplars with Kreoss... screw your no knockdown tough.
Now Menoth (or, in this case, Harby) has a real dilemma. She kinda has to feat, at which point you just back your doomreavers up a turn so they don’t take the alpha. Wait it out. On the next turn all of your shit threatens a gajillion miles with Strak’s feat, double Overruns, and superiority. Keep your doomreavers safe with the 3” blast spacing widget and terrain.
If he doesn’t feat, then feat early. Get your stuff jammed in and get the alpha. Your doomreavers will melt on his counter attack, but you brought at least 4 and maybe 5 jacks, and if you weren’t able to get an overrun Marauder, Juggernaut or Ruin onto the Judicator than the Judy was so far back as to be irrelevant, so you’re still controlling scenario with more Overruns in your back pocket next turn.
